Travelin' On

Our time here is growing short.  We've been here for seven weeks and it seems more like seven days. We would stay through Christmas but some plans just don't work out and we feel it's very important for us to get to Arizona.

The weather here has been perfect this weekend.  Thanksgiving at our daughter's was great fun, filled with delicious wine, food and laughter.  The boys cousins were there and they were a hoot, but you get five boys together and there's bound to be a lot of noise.

On Saturday we met some friends in Pescadero.  We had lunch at this place that's sort of an institution in this part of the world.  Their soup specialities are Cream of Asparagus and a Green Chili which they will combine if you choose.  I did and it was delicious.

The scenery driving up the coast is spectacular.  The pictures do not even begin to show how really breathtaking the vistas really are.  On the left if the Pigeon Point Lighthouse which has been around since 1871 and is now a hostel.

Today we're going visit some of the local wineries and then dinner with the kids.

Tuesday we're off to Arizona.  We will miss the kids, grandkids, and seeing the ocean - back to the brown.

See you later for more Aimless Ramblings.

    1. Arizona is nice but you have to admit it is brown, at least in the parts we're going back to.

  7. I think Arizona must be really tempting, because I would not find it easy to leave.
Let the asparagus come, but hold the chili.
Instead of the chili maybe some local wine!
Keep us posted about all the wonders you see on your travels.
