Happy Mother's Day

This is the day to remember and honor "mother's" everywhere.  Where would we be without them ?  So take time to make this day special for them and you.

A  pastor was presenting a children's sermon. During the sermon, he asked the children if they knew what the resurrection was.  Afterward,  the pastor asked the children if they knew the meaning of the resurrection, a little boy raised his hand.  The pastor called on him and the little boy said, "I know that if you have a resurrection that lasts more than four hours you are supposed to call the doctor."

It took over ten minutes for the congregation to settle down enough from their laughter for the worship service to be continued.

OF ALL THE TIMES KIDS CHOOSE TO LISTEN

Enjoy the day and come back tomorrow for another new story.  See you later for more Aimless Ramblings.

  7. Sunny, your joke reminded me about when my children were small, toddler to preschool age. They cared nothing for children's tv programs, but would stop whatever they were doing for the commercials. They could sing all the jingles and recite all the slogans, and did so at some inappropriate times. Too cute! Thanks for the bump back down memory lane!

    I hope you're having a wonderful Mother's Day!

    1. I had to laugh at your trip down memory lane. Last year when we first got here, my grand nephew was entranced with the RV. They were in it every chance they got. Well one day he wanted to watch TV and there wasn't anything on suitable for kids, the little guys says to me that's okay, we'll watch commercials. I laughed until I cried.

Hope you had a great day.

    2. Exactly! Lol! Commercials are designed to reach out and engage, fascinate, tempt kids of all ages and assure we WANT that widget. Little ones are amazing...even when they parrot things we wish they wouldn't! I'm glad your little g-nephew gives you amusing doses of that accommodating childhood innocence. I'm humbled and enchanted by my little grand-treasures...and glad I can give them back to their mothers after I've had my own doses! ;-)

My day was great, thank you. D and I danced ourselves awake this morning - very nice. After showers, I made a big brunch, because I really like doing that for my family, especially on Mother's Day, other holidays and most weekends. Later, D grilled outside and fixed the rest of dinner for us, including brownies! My teens cleaned the kitchen after both meals (going to miss these last two nestlings when they leave in a few years). Most of my day was being lazy and pampered...mostly un-motherlike!

Chatty Cathy signing off! Enjoy your week!
