Happy Endings

This past week has been great fun - filled with friends and family. Another extraordinary thing happened last week. I was able to get in touch with a friend I'd lost track of years ago. I was able to get her telephone number and we spoke for over an hour.  Ironically, she lives not that far from our daughter and we made plans to connect in person this summer.

This is the conclusion of the trilogy.

Before meeting with the realtor the next day, Maddy and Pax tried to agree on what they wanted.   Maddy felt finding the acreage should be first because the acreage might already have either a home or a building to convert into living quarters for the short term.

“I’m going to need a place to live and I’m not handy like that Maddy.  Besides, I’m going to be spending a lot of time at work. It’s a new program and then the season will be starting.  Don’t forget, it will also be my first stint at teaching so I’ll have lesson plans to work on along with the other things.  In other words, no extra time.”

“Does that mean you are not going to have time for me?”

“Of course not.   I’m always going to make time for you.”  He reached over, kissed her and whispered in her ear.  “Last one in bed get’s a spanking.”

“Oooh, that’s not fair.”  She spouted at him.

Maddy and Pax engaged in playful spanking from the beginning.  He was a “fanny” man and loved giving affectionate pats to his female partner’s bottoms.  Years ago, one of his former girlfriends asked if he would like to spank her before they had sex.  Being a full red-blooded football player, he was not about to turn her down.  He found it enhanced their sexual enjoyment and since then ‘slap and tickle’ was a constant part of his bedroom activities.

Pax thought about this as he headed to the bedroom.  It was funny but he knew Maddy was important to him when he asked her how she felt about “spanking” before automatically incorporating it into their relationship. It surprised him, considering her shyness that she admitted she had always fantasized about the topic.  She said she and Taylor had always loved those romance novels and talked about how sexy it would be for some hunky male to bare their bottoms and spank them for being naughty.

He beat her to the bedroom, quickly disrobed and hopped into bed.  He was laying there, hands behind his head when she came into the room.

“Looks like you lose, girl.  Start shedding that clothing.”

“Yes, once again I am the slowpoke.”  She said grinning and doing a striptease act as she proceeded.

She watched his penis stand erect and she giggled.  He loved that her shyness did not extend to the bedroom.

“Keep it up, girl; you are going to be sorry.

“I’m so scared.”  She faked trembling.

“Come over here now and get your spanking.”  He told her as he patted his lap.  He reached and pulled her over to him.  He rubbed her back as he gently guided her over his lap.  One hand continued to rub her neck and shoulders as the other began to slide over her lower back, down to her buttocks, thighs as far as his hands could reach.  She was showing her appreciation with those little mewing noises he loved.  As his hand began its backward trek, a slap rang out when he reached her fanny.

“Oooh.”

His hand reverted to traveling up to her shoulders.  She clenched her butt and he took his cue.  He landed two sharp slaps to her right cheek and followed up with two to her left cheek.  Then he rubbed the sting out of the slaps.  This time three slaps to the left cheek and then three to the right.  Again, more rubbing.  When he felt her body relax, he spanked her tush to lovely pink blush.  This time instead of rubbing her back, his fingers found her wetness and pleasured her honey pot.  She was wiggling around, trying to push herself into his now rock hard penis.

“Not yet, Sweetheart,” he spanked her a few more times.  She wiggled some more.  Her hand found his penis and began teasing her fingers up and down the rigid shaft.  When he couldn’t take any more, he rolled her over onto her back and straddled her.

‘Now?” she asked.

“Now,” he told her as he thrust into her.  The strokes were long and slow and when he could feel her muscles beginning to spasm, he increased his tempo.  Their crescendo came a few second later.  He collapsed onto her, she reached up to him, brought his face to hers and locked her lips to his.

“So does the teacher get an “A”? he asked.

“I didn’t know I was supposed to be giving a review.  Can I grade on a curve?”

He slapped her bottom.  “I’ll give you curve,” he laughed.

“Can we go to sleep now?  Today has been momentous and we have a full day ahead tomorrow.”

                                            =========================

The next day after looking at dozens of properties, they found what they wanted.  It was a twelve-acre parcel with an old farmhouse located midway between the school and Gray’s house.  Maddy fell in love with the house and Gray fell in love with the land.  There was an orchard with apple, pear and almond trees; two huge pepper trees provided shade for the house and barn and there was a large vegetable garden on the side of the house.  A creek ran along the back of the acreage.  The house was in the old Victorian style with lots of gingerbread so common to the period and the area.  It needed some modernizing but it had been  maintained well and had good bones. Built and occupied by the same family since 1904, Will Luce had grown up on the property and inherited it when his parents passed on. Will and Grace Luce put the property up for sale when the last of their four children graduated from college. None of the children wanted a life in the country and though it saddened their parents, it was too much for them to handle alone.  Will told them that at one time they had owned over four hundred acres but sold parcels as each of the children needed college tuition.  This was their last parcel and it was going to fund their retirement.  They were happy to sell it to a family and not to some developer who would parcel it off and put up tract housing.

Pax and Maddy were thrilled with their find.  The Luce’s had already moved the possessions they wished to keep and were going to have an estate sale for remainder.  Pax and Maddy decided to buy the remainder of the household items from the Luce’s.  They didn’t think they would keep them all but this gave them the option to pick and choose over time, instead of immediately.  He could already tell this adventure would be putting a large dent in his bank account.  He didn’t mind though because he looked at it as an investment in their future.  He could see them sitting on that wraparound porch with their children and grandchildren around them.  It was a beautiful picture.

Pax was glad to have this part settled.  Now he just needed to put closure to his former life.  He made appointments with the team owner, called a realtor to sell his condo, and scheduled a trip to visit both Maddy’s parents and his parents to announce their engagement.

Maddy had zillions of things running through her head, not the least of which was announcing their engagement.  She knew her parents would want to throw an engagement party to which she would agree; she also knew they would be terribly disappointed because she didn’t want a large fancy wedding.  Actually, if it could be arranged, she would like to get married at their new home.  She knew it would take a lot of work and coaxing Pax wouldn’t be easy but it would be just perfect.

In the end, Pax invited both sets of parents to his place.  It was convenient that both the Mitchell’s and the Barrett’s knew each other; they would only have to go through this once. The Barrett’s arrived first and were surprised to see Maddy there.  They were barely in the door when the bell rang.  Pax opened the door to the Mitchell’s who were accompanied by Gray and Taylor.

Once everyone said their hellos and settled onto the balcony, Pax came out with a bucket of ice and a bottle of champagne.  Maddy followed with a tray of glasses and some hors d’oeuvres.  When Pax finished filling everyone’s glass, he raised his in a toast

“To my future bride,” he raised his glass toward Maddy.  “To my future husband” and they both took a sip.  Everyone offered their congratulations and said how happy they were for them and how nice it was they were already family.  The questions arose about the future and Pax announced his retirement from football, told them about this new position and the move to Pine Creek.

“When and where did you plan to be married?”  Pax’s mother asked.

Maddy spoke up and said they planned to be married by summer’s end and the ceremony would be at Pepper Tree Farm.

Pax looked at her with a perplexed look on his face.

“Where is Pepper Tree Farm?” her mother asked.

“It’s our new home. I’ve decided to name it Pepper Tree Farm at Pine Creek.  Has a nice ring to it doesn’t it?”

Both mothers looked surprised but not nearly as surprised as Pax. He tried covering his reaction to Maddy’s statement by taking a drink.

Gray, with that twin intuition in full gear, leaned over to Taylor and whispered:

“Fireworks, later tonight.”  Taylor looked at him quizzically.

Gray successfully changed the conversation, “Are you ever going to feed us?  I’m starving.”

“Of course, Gray.  Taylor, want to come give me a hand in the kitchen?” Maddy asked.

“Sit Taylor, I will help Maddy.”  Pax responded and followed Maddy into the kitchen.

Maddy didn’t miss his reaction to her statement.  She knew she would have some convincing to do for her statement to become fact.  He swatted her backside hard as they reached the kitchen and out of the eye of everyone.

“Ouch, that hurt”  she exclaimed.

“I meant it to hurt.  What the hell are you thinking saying we are going to be married at – what did you call it Pepper Tree Farm at Pine Creek - by the end of summer?  Are you out of your mind?”

“You’ll see; it will be perfect.  We’ll talk about it later.”

“You can bet, we will be talking about it later – one way or another,” he told her with no give in his voice.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” she asked.

“We’ll talk later.  Let’s get this dinner party started.”

Once everyone was gone and they started straightening up things, Pax brought up their earlier conversation

“So what the hell are you thinking about having a wedding at Pine Creek?”

“It will be beautiful.”

“Maddy, there’s not enough time to fix up the house.”

“We don’t have to.  We will rent everything we need.  We will have chairs set up under the pepper tree. Won’t that be a beautiful backdrop in our wedding pictures.  The two of us, standing under the shade of a tree that’s been around for hundreds of years, joining hands in matrimony.”

“I think you’ve been reading too many novels” he told her.

“Seriously, let me finish.  We will have a huge tent set up close to the house.  We’ll hire a caterer and do a barbecue type menu.  Perfect for the country.  Won’t that be fun? It can’t possibly be any more expensive than having one of those formal fou fou affairs.  Don’t worry, I have it all planned in my head.”

“That’s what I am afraid of.  It’s all in your head. Martha Stewart is probably not available so before you go any further with this grand plan, please check out if these services exist in that area.  That’s country, and you are thinking of city conveniences.”

“Oh, honey, you make it sound as if we are going to be living back in the 19th century.  These conveniences are available everywhere.”

‘Okay, if you say so.  But please, check it out first.”

Maddy had her work cut out for her.  She didn’t want to ask her mother for help because she knew that wouldn’t end up pretty for either one of them.  Taylor helped where she could.  All in all, things were turning out better than she expected.  She found a rental place that was providing the tent and all the chairs, a caterer that came and cooked at the site, bringing all his own equipment with him, another rental place to provide tables, chairs dishes, etc. and last but not least, two portable bathroom facilities.

She was pleased with herself and now that the really hard stuff was done, she could concentrate on the smaller details, like a band, photographer, invitations and a dress.  She wanted a plain white linen dress with a round neckline and three quarter full lacy sleeves.  Taylor’s dress would to the same except for the sleeves of the same material as the dress, in a light peach or pink.  She wanted Pax and his brother to wear white western style shirts, bolo ties, long western jackets if they could find them in their size and, if not, just vests and boots.

Their wedding day was a bright beautiful typical California day in their area.  Temperatures in the high 70’s, with nary a cloud in the sky.  Everything was just perfect, just the way it was planned.  When the day was over, the guests gone, Pax sat in the rocking chair on their front porch.

“Maddy, everything was beautiful, you did a spectacular job. Thank you for making it a day to remember.  Where are we going on our honeymoon?”

He watched as all the color drained from her face.

“Don’t tell me you didn’t plan a honeymoon?”

“I…I  didn’t even think of that.”

“How could you forget about the honeymoon?” he said sternly

“I did everything else, couldn’t you have done something, or at least asked about it before now,” she said defensively.

“You said you would take care of everything.  I guess you need someone to ramrod this outfit after all.”

He kept goading her until he could see she was right at the edge of losing her temper. Then he began to laugh.  When she realized he was just teasing her she started pummeling his chest.  He couldn’t stop laughing.  He reached into his pocket and handed her an envelope.  When she opened it she found plane tickets to Hawaii and they were leaving in the morning.

“Last one to bed, get’s a spanking,” he told her and took off upstairs at a run.

As usual, she took her time going upstairs.

See you later for more Aimless Ramblings.
