Complacency

I have been absent from any real life posts for a while.  Life is just moving along at warp speed and I'm filling up the days with who knows what.  I have no idea what to write anymore, I can't even remember what I used to write about before. Maybe, I'm living in my head where all those characters are romping around living their lives.  That has slowed down though, words that used to just flow out are having to be dragged out tooth and nail.

Went to the movies this weekend to see August, Osage County. It's a movie I've been looking forward to for forever.  They were showing coming attractions so for long,  I actually thought the movie was Osage County and coming out in August.  Okay, okay, you can stop laughing now.   The acting is terrific.  My daughter asked what I thought of the movie and I told her it was the poster child of a dysfunctional family.  If ever you are feeling bad about your family, take a look at this movie and I am sure you will be greatly relieved to go back to your own family and whatever problems you have and know that you are ahead of the game.

There hasn't been a lot of dancing lately.  I guess we are in one of those valleys - we need a jolt.  I told Ray I needed attention last week. He was ready and stepped up when I told him that I wanted him to make it as real as possible, to think about something I did that really pissed him off.  He said no problem. (I know he has a lot to choose from)  He started in hard and when I told him "what, no warm up" his response was you want it real, real is no warm up and he went to town with our leather paddle and strap.  He kept it up until his arm was tired and when he put his hand on my bum he said he couldn't even feel any heat emanating from the punished area. Thought about one of your recent posts Ami.  Ray said it must be dead and I should write that in my blog (so here it is Ray).  I told him to change up more often and he said he would add nails to the wooden implements (that would only produce puncture wounds, or maybe not.). We had a good laugh over that.

We're getting ready to be on the road again.  Looking forward to being near the water again but I'll be missing my friends here.  That's the downside of being on the road, there are more goodbye's, but then I'll be positive there are also more hello's.

That's it for now.  Maybe, just maybe this post broke up the ice jam.  If not, see you much later for More Real Life Aimless Ramblings.

  2. Be careful what you ask for. When I get a rare punishment I don't get a warm up at all. Hard and fast.

Good to hear from you though!

  3. Hi Sunny, great to read you 'real life' ramblings :)

Your comment about Ray having a lot of choose from cracked me up too. Surely that isn't true :) "It must be dead" and adding nails to implements LoL. You must be one tough cookie!

    Travel safe.

    Hugs,
    Roz

  5. I'm telling you get a cane, or go have Ray cut you a switch - or maybe he should make you cut it yourself. That's it, use a switch so you can toss the damn thing. Trust me, that'll wake your butt up!

    1. We have a tilt wand, that's bad enough. No switches allowed.

  8. something in the air perhaps. sorry that your words have stopped flowing for you temporarily but it is always nice to hear how you are doing and glad Ray stepped up for you - I would have voiced a complaint about no warm up too :-) Take care! Happy travels and new hellos...

  9. Do you live in two places or like an RV or something? SM and I have talked about doing that someday.
Either way, hope your trip goes well and you find your writing mojo again :) They say (whoever they are) write
every day. So just write about something and hopefully the words will flow easily for you again. I like your real
life stories just fine though! :)

    1. We are currently living in an RV. It has been great fun but I think this is our last time around. I'm ready to settle somewhere and as soon as we make up our mind, we will do that.

      Thanks for the good thoughts.

  10. Inspiration is such a funny thing, isn't it? The instant someone asked me if I had any ideas, "Poof!" All gone, just like that. Lol.

I might have to watch that movie in the same spirit in which I occasionally watch hoarders!

Hope that your inspiration returns soon.

  11. Sometimes you know, Sunny, I think it's "us" that need waking up - not our butts! I don't know about you, but if one or other (or even both) of us aren't in the right frame of mind, a spanking doesn't go the way you hoped it would. There are times when I positively "fry" with the leather paddle, and others when I just "lean" into it, and how hard/how long doesn't come into it.

I just think everyone has the January Jinx. We'll all feel better soon. I went out the other day and bought some lubricant with a "tingle" to it. Wow! That sure made a change! You'll have to try some! LOL! I would say that the word "tingle" was an understatement!

    Hugs

    1. I agree too Ami, it usually happens around this time of year.

I'll have to try your suggestion. It's not cinnamon oil is it?

    1. Thanks Maryanne, glad I was able to give you a giggle. We don't do real spankings but even fake ones can hurt with no warm up. Thanks for the good thoughts on our travels.

  18. Yeah, I've asked the Duke for help before, and yep, looked behind me and asked the exact same question, and basically got the same answer. Maybe there is an HoH handbook after all that they're sharing amoungst themselves? ;)
