FINALLY

A  couple of months ago now I finally made a determination to do something about my weight.  The scale kept creeping up until even I couldn't stand it any more.  I'm more about a life plan than a diet because although diets work, they only last as long as you're committed to that plan.  A life plan means that's how you're going to live your life.  I decided I could live with smaller portions and better eating habits than cutting out foods I like way too much.

Along with that I purchased a Fitbit.  It's a little thingie that counts steps, etc.  It will do a lot more than that but that's how I've used it so far.  I aim for 10,000 steps a day, don't always make and don't do it every day, but it's more than I did before.  So far, I'm down fifteen pounds.  I'm literally walking my tush off.  :-)

Ray, who has always been an ass man, has been very appreciative.  He said I've gone from watermelons to cantelopes and he can't seem to keep his hands to himself - here a swat, there a swat, everywhere a swat swat.   Not that I'm complaining mind you.  Taking full advantage of the situation, the other day we were teasing each other, actually I was teasing him and he pulled me over his lap and spanked me.  The dam has broken and I got exactly what I wanted.

I see a lot more teasing in his future and hopefully more trips over his lap for me.

See you later for more Aimless Ramblings.

  1. Good for you!! Enjoy being healthy. I have made the change too and it's fabulous. Healthy is the new skinny :) I lift weights which had helped me really trim down but no longer step in the scale as it doesn't depict my progress. Keep going and enjoy the "love swats

  9. Hi Leigh, congratulations on the weight loss. I like the idea of a life plan a lot, it sounds so much more like a healthy way of getting into shape than dieting. I am glad that you two can enjoy your progress so much and can only agree with abby. You are in a win-win-win situation.

  11. I agree, changing the way you eat is better than a diet, then you never feel deprived! Keep it up, that is quite the incentive ;)

    1. Yes, it is better because if I want something, I have it and just don't eat as much of something else. It fits my psyche better.

Your mug cake has been dessert many a night - I just substitute stevia for the honey.

  13. Hi Leigh - I commented earlier but forgot to hit publish - what a dork, lol. But I wanted to say that I'm so happy for you! I totally agree that it's about finding a lifestyle change rather than a diet. And it's wonderful when we figure out what works for us. And I'm so excited that Ray is giving you the spankings that you so desire. Sounds like everything is going perfectly!

  15. Congratulations Sunny...so happy you are doing so well...losing weight and getting spanked which I'm sure leads to dancing! One of these days, I will hit on what works to allow me to lose weight.

    1. Cat, when the time is right, you'll do it if it is something you really want. I just couldn't stand looking at myself anymore and I refused to buy another larger size.

  16. I've struggled with my weight since I was about 25. I have whole periods of being a decent size (never skinny though) and then years of heavy. A son's wedding, a trip, looking bearable in a bathing suit have all been goals for me (that last one never works). Now as we are older, my sex drive seems stronger than my spouse's, so I've been thinking if I lost weight, was more desirable, maybe it would help. I've been trying small changes too (did ok until we had 3 social events in a row), and I'm going to try to stop and think more before eating. It's helpful to read several ladies on blogs working on this at the same time. He won't spank me and keep track of loss, BUT he will provide a "good girl" one when he sees me trying. Good luck!!

    1. Why is it we're all still working on this issue. I thought for sure I would be beyond it at this point but voila - still at it. I think part of it is the media, we see all these skinny women and then look at ourselves. In our heads we know we will never look like them again no matter how skinny we get - it's a fact of life, gravity takes over and that's that. Maybe that's why Spanx were invented.

Anyway, just keep trying and Good Luck with the 'good girl', it's better that way anyway.

  19. I'm totally with you in the life plan. It is the only way not only to loose weight but to have a stable weight. So I applaud you for the 15 pounds, I know now from own experience how difficult that can be. Good for you! (Good girl, we say at home, Grin). My Wanita is dieting as long as I know her, from one crash diet to another. It all doesn't work if you don't change your lifestyle.

And now you've got Ray's attention as well huh? Good for you! Have fun both.

    Warmly,
    Han

  21. well done on the weight loss. i need some serious motivation. the weather is down to slushy and mushy here and it's not conducive to walking. but then, maybe it's an excuse. cos when it was dry and hot THAT wasn't conducive to walking either.
    Sigh.
