I'm Done

This has been an interesting week here in Blogland.  People have been stunned, hurt, and disillusioned by trust betrayed.  Many things have changed since I jumped on this bandwagon, bloggers have come and gone, some I miss, some I don't, but still I remain. It's a place to share thoughts, feelings, jokes, stories, whatever I want to aimlessly ramble about.  What people take from this blog is up to them, but I can assure you that what you see is what you get.  As for my comments, you have no idea how long it may take me to make a comment. You see, I have no filter and those who do not know me personally could easily take my words in a manner that could be hurtful to them or someone they love, so it is the one place I try to temper my words before commiting them to the ethers.

I've just finished reading the latest post of Red Booty Woman.  To me, the woman needs help because while I don't think she is the first, nor will she be the last, to embellish what otherwise may be a dull life, she carried the hoax far beyond the realm of normalcy.  To me, her latest post is not a cry for help, but a cry for sympathy. I think she's sorry but not necessarily sorry for her actions but because she was caught.

My opinion is, and we all have one, is that I'm done with the drama. Her fifteen minutes of fame have long since expired.  I wish those most deeply affected by this betrayal, peace and prayers to move forward and not give her anymore of the attention she desperately craves.  They have given her enough of their time, love and friendship and she has 'kicked it to the curb' over and over again.

DONE and here's something a friend had posted on FB that is much more important than any words that may spew out of my head.

Enough aimless ramblings for today.  See you again.

  1. Well said sunnygirl, well said!

On a side note...I love and appreciate your comments, and I am so glad that you're in Blogland. When I saw the title of your post, I had a moment of "Oh no, she's leaving!!" So glad to find out I was wrong. And again, well said. I think that the need for attention itself is an addiction for some people...

  3. Dear Lord.... I thought the title meant you were leaving! I agree with what you said. I feel so terrible for those she hurt. I just pray they aren't in a situation where she is allowed to hurt them any further.

  4. Lordy, I thought you were leaving, too!! So glad you're here. I debated leaving but I'm going no where.... and you know why...

Because there are real people here.... real FRIENDS here and that's what had gotten me through the week. I'm going to spend some time with my kids and we are going to play and laugh and find the sunshine!!

  6. There's a lesson to be learnt here, Internet is not a safe place, protect yourselves and your identity, don't trust blindly and if something seems off, listen to your guy feelings.

    1. A very valuable lesson, it reminds everyone that the internet is a very public place. It's Big Brother.

PayPal is the way to go.

  8. SG,

With a title like that I thought you'd done blogging. Happy you're not.

I think I must have been asleep as I seem to have missed something.

    1. No, but apparently you were not alone in thinking that, sorry I didn't think.

Drama, drama, drama and now it's DONE, at least as far as I am concerned.

  9. What, a voice of reason in blogland? Seriously you've said it well. It's all sad and hurtful and will continue to be for many, but there is still such support and encouragement here and that's what I'll concentrate on.

  10. I like your style! Although I didn't read Christina's latest post, suspect you are right. Seeing Rogue posting means things are moving on and just leaving things where they lay is probably a good thing right now. Life is messy enough without added drama.

  12. Dang, you had me scanning your post as fast as my eyes would go thinking you were leaving.. Whew, so happy that is not the case. I guess maybe I missed something big, but I don't mind missing drama. :0) Just very happy you aren't packing up your blog.

  16. SG, on my blog, you can remove the filter between your brain and your mouth. It can only be estimated positive .. lol ...
Ok, I was too intimidated by your tittel ... and thought, oh no, not SG!
I have read Christina's last post and what struck me was that she was not aware of how much pain her actions have done. Unbelievable. She needs help.
    Thanks for this post, SG.

  17. Hi Sunny,
I read it. Didn't see it as a cry for sympathy, but attention. I am done also. I have't posted much lately, but please don't filter yourself on my blog.

  19. Hi Sunny,

I have to say when I read the post this morning there was definitely a feeling of, "You've got to be kidding me, right?" It certainly wasn't the post I was expecting from someone who was sorry for her actions. I do hope she gets the help she needs, but right now I want to focus my attention on Rogue and the people who were deeply affected by this mess.

All I can say to you is well said sister, and kudos for having the nerve to say it. Don't filter the awesomeness that is you.

  20. Said perfectly. I feel that she is sorry for her actions, but not as sorry she is that she got caught.
