Like, Unlike or Comment - Again

Do you ever wonder what drives traffic to your site?  This post, while lovely, is not something that would seem to draw attention almost two years after it's initial publiction. Yet, during the past week it has had at least 1000 hits.

It's not like I was "Chrossed" at Valentine's Day - that was off the charts. I've watched the numbers steadily climb but the traffic sources are not high numbers or anyone stat in particular.

Not complaining, just wondering.  I would love to see a sudden surge of book sales in that manner. :)

See you later for more Aimless Ramblings.

  1. Hey Sunny...that was a lovely post that I didn't read first time around as I hadn't found you yet. Have no clue why certain posts get such huge hits...have a few of mine that have gotten large numbers and they aren't anything super special. Hope your book sales climb!

    Hugs and Blessings...

    1. I know. He was like a comet. Came into our lives with a beauty and left in a flash leaving us with his words of wisdom and kindness.

    1. Sometime, there may be a post that will be just like this one and you will get hundreds of views and have no idea why. It was such a blessing to have Bas even if it was not long enough. He was a treasure.

  5. SG,

Lovely post. Not sure why I missed it.

Not sure why certain post get more hits than others. Sometimes the title has something to do with it. To be honest I've given up wondering why some posts get more hits than others,

    Love,

  7. I do not know the answer to your question...to be honest I never even check my stats...it is curious though - makes you wonder - maybe it is the title, maybe something going on or not going on in your own real life that makes you read more or less, who knows...I do know that I missed that post as I had not met you yet and glad to read it now as it was very sweet. :-)

    1. Who knows seems to be the answer. Happy that you enjoyed it, maybe that's the reason it's so popular. Hope you had a happy birthday and it was filled with everything your heart desired.

  8. As a professional blogger (okay one can think highly of herself), I think that the day of the week has a lot to do with reads. More than anything else, if you look at the comments on people's blogs, the weekends have very little views.
Second, I think that you have really made a name for yourself as an author. What ever you write about, people enjoy reading it. You are a very good writer.
And Third, so many other bloggers really like you and they have you on their blog roll and the comment too. Plus you are very kind to us lowly bloggers and comment and support our writings.
So there you go, my professional opinion.

    1. I agree that the day of the week makes a difference but this post is almost two years old. lol
Very kind words in your comment, thank you, but I disagree there aren't any lowly bloggers. We're all the same.

  9. I've just been backwards and forwards several times to that post. So I suppose I have now upped the numbers of hits. LOL

It was before my time as well. And I see that our naughty Minelle was Anonymous! Ha!

It is a lovely post but it does apply to lots of people, those into and those not into spanking of any kind. My Dan is not at all demonstrative in public. Never has been. Yet he is so tender when we are intimate. I think when you have a good man you know - he goes straight through to your heart.

I agree with Blondie that your blog posts are so enjoyable to read. I can tell you that I get some really strange comments trying to get through on some of my older posts. I wonder exactly which part of Russia they come from. LOL

I am very glad I discovered you and added my name to your list. Luckily your posts show up on my blog and some people's posts I can't for the life of me get to show up. Sigh.

Just you keep blogging - and we will all keep reading!

    Many hugs
    Ami

  10. DH loves checking the stats, I on the other hand, can go days without looking. Our post How to Spank your Wife has had more than 60,000 views by now. Isn't that crazy?

    1. Well I can understand that title getting that many views. What I don't understand is why a post that's over two years old is getting more hits now than when it was first published and what causes that to happens. It boggles my mind.

60,000 hits is an outstanding number. Congrats on that.
