Red Rubber Ball

Good Morning, Good Morning.  You know that song.  It's playing in my head.  I'm up earlier this morning than usual.  It's probably because it's not a gloomy, rainy morning.  This beautiful red/orange globe coming up in the east brightened the bedroom.  OMG it's the sun and it looks beautiful.  Can't see it clearly, because all the windows are fogged.  It's been cold, only 40 but it's going to warm up and be nicer for at least two days.  Hope so, the cold windy weather has definitely curtailed my beach walks.  It's tough making yourself do it when the only skin showing is your face and it is being pelted by blowing sand.

Yesterday, I put out some food for the birds and only three showed up to eat.   I'm not complaining, just stating facts, there are others who are really suffering from Mother's Natures wrath this year.

Hope your day includes lots of sunshine too.  See you later for more Aimless Ramblings.

  2. Yesterday was gloomy up here in the metroplex but today the sun is shining. We desperately need rain but I love seeing a little sunshine. Wish I could come down to Galveston for a week. Maybe next year.

  3. We have lovely sunshine here but cold with the odd shower. Spring is on the way, well I hope so. UK had large amounts of snow last March.

  6. Where I live we have had the opposite problem and set all sorts of heat records..most number of days over 35 C, most days in a row over the old 100 F, most number of days over 40 C (104 F) and a new all time record maximum temp of 45.7 C (117 F)
Too hot even to spank, but I am storing them up for Winter.
Hope Spring is mild and pleasant in the North.

    1. Yeah, you have had a horrible summer, hope your winter is better. It's a sorry state of affairs when it is even too hot to spank.

  9. Hey Sunny...it's cold here today and the wind chill makes ii frigid but at least the sun is shining. We are forecast for more snow and ice this weekend but they've now pushed it back so Friday and most of Saturday should be nice.

Don't know if you were referring to the 60's song "Red Rubber Ball" by The Cyrkle but that is now the song I can't get out of my head after reading here! LOL

Hope you are enjoying your time with your friends.

    Hugs and Blessings...

    1. Oh Cat, I feel so sorry for you all experiencing this horribly cold winter. Glad you can see the sun today and maybe the weathermen will be wrong.

You're right, I was thinking of Red Rubber Ball. I used to love that song. All those songs seems to be running through my head today.

We are having fun. Brother left today but other friends still here and more coming.

    2. When I saw the title of this post I immediately thought of that song. I hadn't heard it in years so I Googled it to find a recording. Fun memories.

It was snowing and blowing here tonight and we're expecting a snowstorm on Monday. It will be March. Crocus will be in bloom by the end of the month. Light at the end of the tunnel.

    3. Sorry about your weather. I used to love seeing the crocus and the daffodils poking their heds through the snow.

  11. I could use some sunshine right now. After months of warm weather and drought, the rain has come. The skies are gloomy and grey. Grrr

    1. I know, we don't have the snow and freezing, but the sun hasn't made an appearance very often here either. It was lovely seeing it and then the next day back to gloom and doom. Hooray though, woke up this am to sunshine again. I'm enclosing some with this reply. Enjoy
