Thoughts to Ponder

Received this and thought they were thoughts worth sharing.

We never get what we want,
We never want what we get,
We never have what we like,
We never like what we have.
And still we live & love.
That's life...

The best kind of friend,
Is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with,
Never say a word, And then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.

It's true that we don't know What we've got until it's gone,
But it's also true that we don't know
What we've been missing until it arrives..

Don't expect love in return;
Just wait for it to grow in their heart,
But if it doesn't, be content it grew in yours.

It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, An hour to like someone,

And a day to love someone,

But it takes a lifetime to forget someone

Don't go for looks; they can deceive.
Don't go for wealth; even that fades away.
Go for someone who makes you smile,
Because it takes only a smile to
Make a dark day seem bright.
Find the one that makes your heart smile!

May you have Enough happiness to make you sweet,
Enough trials to make you strong,
Enough sorrow to keep you human,
And enough hope to make you happy.

Always put yourself in others' shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, It probably hurts the other person, too.

The happiest of people
Don't necessarily have the best of everything;
They just make the most of everything that comes along their way.
Happiness lies for
Those who cry,
Those who hurt,
Those who have searched,
And those who have tried,
For only they can appreciate the importance of people
Who have touched their lives.

When you were born, you were crying
And everyone around you was smiling.
Live your life so that when you die,
You're the one who is smiling
And everyone around you is crying.

Those of you who read Fantasy Friday know there was no story today.   I started a story and ask all other visitors to add a line or a paragraph in the comment section.

This is a challenge to all you writers who are afraid of a writing a whole story.  The gauntlet is thrown, rise to the occasion.

Happy Anniversary Aimless Ramblings

Today is the one year anniversary of my blog.  I can’t believe another whole year has passed.  I really  think it’s only been three months. 

I lead a pretty normal life. Okay maybe not so normal because I am living in an RV and not in a brick and mortar house but there are 3.1 million of us doing that.  Got that stat on MSN. There is not a great deal of drama or chaos.  Most days just blend one into another and before I realize it another week has passed with nothing to mark the passage except for the marks on the calendar and a couple of new wrinkles.  I am not complaining.  I lead a charmed life. I am healthy, have a great husband, daughter, grandchildren, family and friends - God has been and continues to be very good to me.  The sameness, however, does not provide very interesting fodder for blog posting.  Like the post’s name it is all a bunch of Aimless Rambling and I am amazed at the number of people who stop by to read the blah, blah, blah. 

Thank you for welcoming me and I hope that I add either a laugh or a little something that makes it worth your while stopping by.  I’ve enjoyed this and am so glad I accidentally came upon this community.  You all provide me with some great insights, some laughs, some tears, some head shaking but most of all friendship and acceptance.

A special thank you goes out to PK and Fantasy Friday for getting me involved in writing this blog and the stories.  The stories seem to have taken on a life of their own.  I wrote the very first story I've ever written last Thanksgiving,  PK posted in on FF and urged me to write more.  I've been doing it ever since.  Actually, in light of that, I know she is looking for new stories so some of you gifted writers (and yes most of you are gifted writers) pen some stories and send them for posting on FF.
