Voices
I saved this from a FB post thinking it might come in handy someday, well today is the day.
Often when I'm asked to write a continuation to a story I comment that I will if they speak to me again. I'm really not kidding. I have to get inspired. There are times I sit with my fingers on the keyboard and have no ideas and all of a sudden I see my fingers moving across the keyboard. Frequently, when I go back and read my stories weeks later I am amazed at what I have written - it's not something I would say or think. So it must be the voices in my head, right. Does this happen to you?
I have to go now because I am getting a message and I am not even wearing my beanie with the aluminum foil antenna.
See you later for more Aimless Ramblings.

Hey Sunny...What I really hate is when the voices in my head start arguing with my imaginary friends!
ReplyDeleteLet us know if the voices in your head give us a good story. ;)
Blessings,
Cat
You have to let me know if the voices have given me a good story. I just type. lol
DeleteLoL Sunny and Cat - too true!
ReplyDeleteI do hope those voices are telling you another fantastic story Sunny! :)
Hugs,
Roz
See my comment to Cat and let me know - thanks for the compliment.
DeleteWow and I thought only Bobbie did that, she talks to herself all the time and she even answers herself too :-)
ReplyDeleteBob
Judging by my comments, it's more widespread thant I thought, or maybe it's just us here in blogland.
DeleteI'm right there with you - if there were any more people in my head or imaginary friends around here we'd need a bigger house! But yeah, it is nice to just sit back and listen sometimes.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
PK
Yes, I know all about you and Cassie. I love the "bigger house" idea. lol
DeleteBless you, my head is too full of rubbish to let any voices in!!!
ReplyDeletehappy Easter
love Jan.xxx
Happy Easter to you too. You know the voices could be trying to climb out of the rubbish. lol
DeleteI wish the voices in my head told me stories, unfortunately they do not. They argue and they worry, but they rarely tell me stories. Maybe I'm not listening close enough?
ReplyDeleteTurn up the volume on your beannie. I've had to do that with mine from time to time.
DeleteOkay I wonder if there is something to this....I have long conversations with those voices....LOL
ReplyDeleteAlong with stories, they also provide great answers.

ReplyDeleteSG,
ReplyDeleteI have voices in my head but they don't tell me stories. Wished they would, then I could write my book.
Happy Easter.
Love,
Ronnie
xx
sorry the deleted comment was minex
Happy Easter to you to Ronnie. The voices may not tell you stories, but you are a good storyteller and writer.
DeleteI am just glad I'm not the only one with voices in my head...all this time I thought I was crazy... :-) Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI knew I wasn't crazy, a little strange maybe, but it's nice to know I have such good company.
DeleteToo funny but ahhhh so true
ReplyDeleteOh, so you hear them too, Blondie.
DeleteI'm afraid I'm guilty too.
ReplyDeleteEven in my working days, I was often amazed when I watched my fingers do magic on those computers.
When people came to me for advice, I often answered: "don't ask me, I don't know, just ask my fingers".
Glad to hear I am among friends.
DeleteI remember when I used to hear those voices. Gosh, I miss them. How do you get them motivated? Mine used to come up with some pretty fun stuff. And speaking from experience, PK isn't kidding... she doesn't have room for much more in that head of hers. LOL
ReplyDeleteTurn up the volume - let the fun stuff out. I'll keep your advice about PK in mind.
DeleteYes! So, a phrase I'm thinking about blogging about is from T.S. Eliot's "Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock." It reads, "There will be time, there will be time/To prepare a face to meet the faces that you meet." The face, for me, is the voices. It's that feeling of "Who am I today?" Sometimes you don't know until your hands are flying across the keyboard, and even then, sometimes you don't recognize the words when you read them back. Writing is one of the greater mysteries. We tap into the world this way. It's not madness, it's life. We just know that, sometimes, we don't know what we're writing until we've written it. Then again, I may be mad as well. After all, "We're all mad here" (as noted by the Cheshire Cat, in Alice in Wonderland).

All so very true abby.
