I'm answering all comments at once because obviously the problem is larger than I imagined.
While scientist have been able to identify the problem, to date they have not determined how to eradicate the little creatures. The only way they have been able to keep the 'bitches' from reaching epidemic proportions is by starving them. Not a good solution and my message to the scientists, Keep Working on the problem.
Too funny. The staff at an eating establishment where I'm a regular will often point out the latest calorie laden item to tempt me ... and I ask how are they doing on developing negative calorie desserts. That's what we need!
My home has been infested since 1983!
