Can you believe that half of this year ends today. Make the best of what is to come. Enjoy the day.
As I mentioned in my last post, it is "hotter than a pepper sprout" here and even more so where we are headed. In view of that, we decided to delay our trip for a few days. Granted it will be hot but 103 is better than 123 for us and for the vehicles. We tend to get a little crotchety and you all know where that leads. Not necessarily a bad thing BUT...
You're right Sunny...103 is better than 123...try to stay as cool as possible. Safe travels!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Cat
Still hot, but cooler. lol
DeleteTime flies when you're having fun? ;-)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you decided to wait until the crazy heat wave exhausted itself. That kind of heat could be dangerous to you and your vehicle.
Love the poster. I hope it's true. I'll take the smiles *instead of* the tears, please. Everything does happen for a reason, sometimes good, sometimes bad - it's up to us to figure out how wet handle it and what to do with the aftermath. :-)
Hugs,
Irish
Well, it is July and Phoenix is usually about 110 so it's about normal. I just hope to get in and get out before I melt. lol
DeleteAmazing words, Cat. But it is soooo hard to smile trough the tears....and believe that everything happens for a reason. My brain knows it, but my heart refuses to accept it ..
ReplyDeleteI understand exactly what you are saying. Sometimes, there is a disconnect.
DeleteHi Sunny, We too have a bit of sunshine today, hurray, a summer dress is finally calling me. Have a safe trip when you do leave
ReplyDeletelove Jan.xx
Hope you enjoyed wearing that summer dress. Even that is too hot here.
DeleteCrotchety! Gosh I love that word. Sounds like a plan to wait. Maybe you can still get in some of "that" for crotchety relief!
ReplyDeleteToo hot for crotchety relief. Don't need anymore heat. lol
DeleteHave a great vacation and have some good spanking tails to tell when you come back :)
ReplyDeleteBob
Thanks Bob but it's life, not vacation. We have no permanent address.
DeleteI hope you really realize and appreciate the flexibility in your lives! You are so lucky! Stay cool.
ReplyDeleteI do realize it PK and we are enjoying it while we are able. Cool as I can.
DeleteI'm glad you've delayed your trip to avoid getting scorched. Also, thank you for the reminder on the passage of time, I'm one who needs to hear that.
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Meg
It just goes so dang fast. We're still going to get scorched but maybe about 10 degrees cooler, I hope anyway.
DeleteSunny here too today! Hope you and Ray have a good journey when you start to move on. I can't imagine a temperature as high as you describe! I'll send you some cucumbers - to keep cool....
ReplyDeleteHugs
Ami
I'll take a bushel of those cucumbers, please.
DeleteFreakishly hot here too!
ReplyDeleteGlad you're waiting for cooler temps. But when it's that hot, can up really feel a difference between 123 and 103? When it gets that hot, it's just HOT!!!
Safe travels friend :)
I sure do agree with that.
DeleteThanks for the good wishes friend.
sounds like a reasonable decision...stay as cool as possible and take care of yourself... hugs
