Let It Snow (on tv anyway)

The weather outside isn't frightful, (bright sunny skies)

The breeze is so delightful (gusting. Tiny berries keeping falling out of the tree, sounds like hail)

We've really no place to go (this time of year the mall is definitely out)

So, off we went to the show.

Sorry but the tune of Let It Snow keeps going through my head.
Thank you Lord that it's only in my head.

Have seen several really good movies lately.  First, was Lincoln with Daniel Day Lewis.
Abraham Lincoln is my favorite historical person.  I've loved him since I don't know when, warts and all.  Anyway, it was a great movie and I urge everyone to see it.

The second movie we saw was Argo.  It is the story of the Canadians that were able to get out of Iran during the hostage crisis with help of the CIA.  It is a testament to the ingenuity of those involved and very well told.

The third movie was Skyfall.  I am not a James bond fan but hubby just loves them and we  have a policy, one movie for me and one for him and it was his turn because I made him sit through Hope Springs (which was even boring for me, but don't tell him that).  Anyway, he loved it.  (I fell asleep).

Things between hubby and I are better.  I am not in a snit anymore and his mood improves when mine does.  I know that but sometimes I just can't help it, I want to be moody, sarcastic and downright bitchy.  It feels good.  He bears it instead of baring me, but that's his way.  Usually when things have passed and we're dancing again, I feel his aggravation.  This time was no exception and red was definitely my color.

Got all the presents mailed, our little tree is up, so very cute and we are all nestled in here in our little home.  It's wonderful having our friends just down the street.  We been friends forever and our kids have grown up and old together so it's just extended family. Miss our own kids and grandkids but really enjoyed the time we had.  Next year it will be Christmas is California, God willing.

See you later for more Aimless Ramblings.

  1. Let's see, the last movie I saw (in the theater) was Wreck it Ralph. lol We don't have snow either and I totally agree with the sentiment of let it snow if it's only on tv! I'm ready to skip ahead to late spring or even summer after the holidays myself...not that anyone asked. ;) It's nice that you have good friends close by to celebrate with. We'll get together with Michael's family and skype with mine. :)

  4. Cute lyrics Sunny. It can snow all it wants as long as it is on TV and far, far away from my whole area! :D

  6. I can't wait to see Lincoln. I love Daniel Day-Lewis also. He is my type though - tall and brooding.
Glad things are better your man, Sunny. Sometimes girls are just a little bitchy, we just need to work it out. Sorry for the flaming rear.

    2. He is! He's here!!! I tried not to cling because he was so tired. I sent him to shower, fed him and tucked him in. I love that there are grunty sort of man-going-to-sleep-sounds coming from down the hall.

  14. I admit, I do in fact, like snow on Christmas Eve. I think it is magical. The slippery white stuff you have to drive through on days you can't avoid going out...I could do without. :-) My husband is a James Bond fan as well and it was the first time we had gone to the movies in a long time unless you count watching Cars 2 at the drive in with our kids a couple of years ago. :-) have a great day, Terps

  15. It is magical, especially when you don't have to experience the "stuff" that goes with it.
You have a great day also.
