Thank you to all of them who freed us back in 1945. My hungry mother rode on the allied tanks when they liberated The Netherlands from one of the cruellest occupations the world has ever seen. My enslaved father was liberated from his workcamp in Germany. We remember you at May 4, and every day.
Well said Sunnygirl. I just put a note on my blog post that I was sorry for my ill timed post when so many have written such nice posts of Remembrance. I feel the same as you have expressed here. Regards.
Thank you, Sunny. Our gratitude and remembrance for our American neighbours and the soldiers that serve in the pursuit of world peace. God Bless You.
ReplyDeleteWe feel the same about our Canadian friends and allies who help keep us all safe.
DeleteBeautiful sentiment Sunny.

I only hope we all remember every day. The cost is high and the rewards not worth the price sometimes.

ReplyDeleteBeautifully written Sunny. We are very lucky to live the life we have because of the sacrifices of all soldiers past and present.
ReplyDeleteWe are so very lucky and most of the times just take it for granted. Reading Bas' post above proves how lucky we are.
