It's the first day of fall here in the good ole USA. It doesn't mean much to us living in my neck of the woods, but I can remember when I lived where it did. It was usually that first little hint of cool crispness in the air, the prevalent smell of apples, meaning cider and donuts and the trees started putting on their magnificent extravaganza. I do miss that.
Of course, once the leaves exhibited their glory, they'd fall to the ground and need to be raked but not before kids would run amok among them. I miss that too.
After that though, this stuff came down from the sky. At first, it was a beautiful sight to behold, but then... I don't miss that.
Happy Fall
Happy Spring to those 'down under'
See you later for more Aimless Ramblings.
We are now in my favorite season, weather-wise! I love the crisp fall air. The colorful leaves so inspire me! I love snow too.... Just want winter to be a bit shorter!!
ReplyDeleteHope you get your 'want'.
DeleteI also love fall...this summer has broken all previous records..most 90+ degree days, and most 80+ degree days...unheard of. I am hoping that we also have an endless autumn...then there will be no time for winter.

I love your theory, hope it works out.
DeleteI do wish fall would show up here...still having high 80s and low 90s. I do love fall!

Still warm here - but it's cooler in the mornings and evenings, so I can handle the heat in the middle.
DeleteI'm still looking for that first crisp day myself - but I know it's coming. I like most of the seasons. I even like winter and snow and everything. Only problem with winter is that it really should only last a month at the most.
ReplyDeleteHave you put your suggestion into the box?
DeleteHappy Fall/Autumn to you all. Such a beautiful season with the pretty leaves. Our Spring started 1st September as we go by the first of the month for change of seasons. Still quite chilly here though, only a few teaser days when its been warmer. I'm sure the heat will be here with a vengeance soon though.

Thanks Lindy. Hope your weather changes soon.
DeleteHappy Fall Sunny, I'll take spring thanks lol. Can't wait for it to warm up and for Longer days, my favourite part. Our clocks go forward this weekend :)

I love Autumn but hate when winter comes.

I totally understand your statement. I always hated winter too - now not so much because winter doesn't mean the same thing living here in AZ.
DeleteHappy Fall! We're having such a lovely autumn! I'm going to enjoy it and try not to think about the next season. ;)
ReplyDeleteGlad the weather is cooperating for you - hope it continues way into the next season.
DeleteWe're just experiencing the first chills of Autumn here in southern England. I love Autumn but want to hibernate as soon as the first winter snowflake falls.
ReplyDeleteRosie xx
I can't say as I blame you Rosie. The only way I like snow is somewhere else. lol
DeleteI do love the changing of the seasons...and I enjoy snow on Christmas and one big snow fall in January...if that could be it, it would be perfect - otherwise hibernating sounds good until the spring... :-) Hugs
