THIS MUST BE TRUE. RAY HAS KEPT ME ALL THESE YEARS AND I AM THE QUEEN OF THE SARCASTIC REMARK.
I KNOW EVERYONE THINKS OF ME AS THIS "SUNNY" GIRL BUT, ALAS NOT ALWAYS TRUE, ESPECIALLY WHEN FIRST WE MEET. I COME OFF AS AN ARROGANT B**CH, OR SO I'VE BEEN TOLD ON MANY OCCASIONS. THAT'S NOT TRUE EITHER, BUT SARCASTIC REMARKS ARE MY STOCK IN TRADE AND IT IS OFTEN CONSTRUED AS B**CHINESS WHEN IT IS JUST 'WIT'.
IF ANY OF YOU DOUBT THE ABOVE STATEMENT, FEEL FREE TO ASK RAY. HE WILL CORROBORATE. WHEN HE FIRST MET ME HE THOUGHT I WAS A CLASS 'A' B**CH, NOW HE THINKS I'M A SUNNY GIRL WELL, AT LEAST,
SEE YOU LATER FOR MORE AIMLESS RAMBLINGS.
P.S. Go over and visit New Beginnings today. PK has graciously featured one of my new stories today.
Loving the saying!
ReplyDeletemy mum would say "sarcasm is the lowest form of wit" but i so disagree. I like a good healthy dose of sarcasm ;) so long as its well intended and not meant to hurt or offend. I like the quote. So true ;)
ReplyDeleteMostly, I don't mean to offend, they just slip out.
DeleteWell I love the Sunny that includes both the sarcasm and the sunshine!
ReplyDeleteYou get the good with the bad.
DeleteHere in blogland, I think you come across as sunny, sweet and kindly witty. You usually keep that sarcastic wit in check, probably in favor of being supportive, but you aren't afraid to tell the truth and express concern. I like you for a *reason* my sliver friend.
ReplyDeleteThe sarcasm-for-sarcasm was D and me to a "T" from the very beginning, but we teamed up and aimed it elsewhere, not at each other. We've always teased each other with kindly spicy sarcasm.
Yes, the sarcasm for sarcasm has been Ray and I. Actually, I think I started as soon as I could talk.
DeleteYou'll always be "Sunny" to us, now we'll just call you "Sarcastic Sunny"! :D
ReplyDeleteThat's me. SS. So happy for your great news. Thank you Lord.
DeleteVery true :) I love sarcasm :)
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend
Dee x
Me too, there's nothing I like better than good banter.
DeleteOur two you get littles (8&9) were discussing the art of sarcasm. I opened my mouth a few minutes later and the 9 yr old piles up from the backseat of the car, "Now THAT is sarcasm!" Lol!
ReplyDeleteLove the saying by the way. And it's been working for Daddy and I too!
hugs

Start 'em young. I know I did.
DeleteYou're far too sweet to be a b**ch! Sarcasm is such a way a life over here in the UK, goes with our cynicism ;) Unfortunately sarcasm doesn't lend itself to the written word very well. Needs the snarky voice and eye rolling to go with it :)
ReplyDeletehugs
DF
Ray say I am a dichotomy. I can be a grade A b**ch one minute and then cry my eyes out over a stupid commercial or some unjustice that befalls someone I don't even know.
DeleteAs someone who shares your title...I love the saying!
ReplyDeletehugs abby
Me too.
DeleteHi Sunny,
ReplyDeleteSo you are one of those annoying people that always had the perfect come back at the time it is needed? LoL
Love the saying!
Hugs,
Roz
I have to say that yes I most often do have a comeback. Not always a good thing.
DeleteCould it be that if a man makes use of sarcasm, he is regarded as wit, but if a woman uses sarcasm, she is regarded as a bi"ch?
ReplyDeleteI think it's about a unfairness and double standards.
I agree with you. It is a double standard.
DeleteOh I love this :) And I like learning that about you...how funny :) Ryan and I worked together and we always sparring back and forth....people didn't even think we liked each other...and about died when they figured out we were actually dating! hahahah! I think men like the challenge....well, at least that is what I tell myself :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great day Sunny :)
I agree. I think men do like the challenge. It adds spice.
DeleteI do not do sarcasm well. It is a real skill to pull it off.
ReplyDeleteI don't know about that, I just know it's me and always has been.
DeleteMy inhibited use of biting sarcasm was one of the first things that Ian was delighted to outlaw in the rules of our new lifestyle. Snort.....as if I could stop it even if I wanted to, but I try constantly to tone it down.
ReplyDeleteI think Ray adores your wit, sarcastic or not, Sunny.
hugs
lillie
I think he does too Lill. He expects it and would think somethng was wrong otherwise.
DeleteI remember you saying you had a caustic wit that you had to tamp down when you started DD. Somehow I think it still lives just below the surface ready to jump out with a little provocation.
They say sarcasm is the lowest form of wit :) yeah well I think " they" lost their sense of humour when the broom was stuck up their ass haha
ReplyDeleteLove the saying, my Balu just expects sarcasm, he doesn't know me any different.
Go Sunny, we love your humour and sense of fun :)
Hugs x
That's the way Ray is.
DeleteThanks for the compliments.
Lol, I love sarcasm. A mix of sarcasm and sunniness is perfect. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, I have the sarcasm down pat.
DeleteI will take just the way you are :-) I try to do sarcasm...but nobody gets it when I do and I always find myself explaining that I was just trying to be "sarcastic" or "funny" I should just give up... :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Terps that's sweet of you.
DeleteDon't explain, it ruins the moment.
I love your wit and sarcasm! It makes you sassy.
ReplyDeleteThanks Renee. It is who I am and too late to change now.
DeleteI'm pretty sarcastic too. And I've worked for years becoming a bi**ch. I wear the title proudly!!! (As long as I'm not bi**chy to He-Man....)
ReplyDeleteYou and me both. It's an art I have mastered.
DeleteLOL Sunny...love it! I do have a tendency to be sarcastic at times and really appreciate a good sarcastic conversation. ;)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Cat
Me too. I love it, in books, in life, in writing stories.
