BLAH, BLAH, BLAH

I'm halfway through another football weekend.  Yeah. My team lost yesterday so I don't care about the rest of them. We are going over to friends today so the guys can yell and scream and we can do what we want.

It has been so cold here. It was 25 degrees here this morning.  Sorry, but that is too freakin cold. I thought it was supposed to be warmer here.  So far, I was so very wrong. I was talking with my friend the other day and it was 81 where we used to live.  Oh, I am missing that.  That and the sea.  I think I am having serious seashore withdrawal.

All's quiet here, not much playtime. Our toy chest is gathering dust. I think its the doldrums that usually sets in after the holidays. Hubby and I went to separate movies together on Friday.  He saw Django and I went to see Zero Dark Thirty.  It was a good movie and a testament to the tenaciousness of the CIA staffer that finally broke through the maze and found Osama Bin Ladin.  Hubby liked Django but I've never been a fan of Quentin Tarantino movies.

Not much else comes to mind.

Tomorrow is story day.  It's another chapter in the life of Erica and Scott Carson (the Look of Love and Rainy Days and Sundays).  Come by if you want to see how they are doing.

Until then, see you later for more Aimless Ramblings.

  1. Hi Sunny, this probably isn't much consolation but it's meant to be summer here but we are in the middle of a patch of horrible weather at the moment. Grey, wet, very windy - blah.

Thanks for the movie heads up. Sound like an interesting watch.

Will definitely be back tomorrow for story day! :)

    Hugs

    1. It's not supposed to be summer here but it is supposed to be 20 degrees warmer than it is. I didn't sign on for this but obviously I have no pull whatsoever.

      See you tomorrow.

  2. I grew up by the ocean...I so miss it..we have a Great Lake...a very polluted one by us,,,and it just does not measure up. We have been enjoying a winter respite...but it returns with a vengeance tomorrow...UGH!

    1. My husband grew up in that area and always tried to convince me it was like the ocean. It's not and after 45 years he knows the difference. Sorry about the winter returning.

  3. Hey Sonny,
Problem is my doldrums began after Thanksgiving and I still can't get out of it. I don't think I've been to any movie except Harry Potter in the past 3 years. I hope you hubby's team wins today and that the celebration causes him to break out the toys once you get home. I'll be here Monday!

    Hugs,
    PK

  4. Yeah, my favorite team lost yesterday too, and that pretty much removes the pizzazz from the rest of the playoffs for me. Sigh...maybe next year!

    1. Sorry about the team loss. It does take some of the pizzazz for the rest of the playoffs and the Super Bowl doesn't it.

      Thanks for coming by.

  5. Sunny! It was -28 celsius, which is 18 below for my American buddies with a wind chill factory (as my dear Mum used to say) of -35! We have a foot of snow on the ground and I have to wear my long underwear because even the layer of fat that I have on my tush is not enough to keep me warm!
snort.....25 degrees - that brings Canadians out to sun bathe!
The only thing that keeps me warm up here are your stories - so please yes, keep on writing those and even steamier is okay with me...I need the heat units.

    2. Very funny but you signed on for that. We signed on for wintering in Arizona where people from cold weather climes come to play. We've lived in FLorida for the past fifteen years and are used to warm weather, we are freezing our you know what off.

Hope you enjoy tomorrow's story. Just a little steam.

  6. If only putting myself in the dryer could work ... I would love to be wrinkle free and three sizes smaller! Looking forward to tomorrow's story.

  7. Brrr...it's colder where you are then here, which is unusual. The cold weather is supposed to return tomorrow though, ugh. Maybe you should suggest some ways to warm up to hubby :)

    1. I know, I know. It's not fair. If the weather turns and you're on the road be careful.

  8. I would rather have the cold because it freezes the germs....!
However when you are somewhere that is supposed to be cold...it must be very frustrating.
The after holiday doldrums yes I get it. I hope you post early enough before I go to work.I would love some fantasy to send me on my way.!

    1. Nice theory but I'll take the warmth and my chances with the germs.

    1. I know. It's not supposed to be this call in this part of Arizona. People come here for the winter, this year they brought it with them. Brrrrrr.

      Thanks for the good wishes.

  10. It is cold where I am located, but no full snow yet this year! We have the fireplace going tonight. Sorry your team lost! Take care.

  12. My team lost this past weekend too. :( It felt like spring here on Sunday, but tomorrow winter is supposed to return. This time of the year can be hard for many. The holidays are over, it still gets dark way too early and for many of us it's cold out with not a lot of sunshine. The winter blues I guess? I would pay a lot for a dryer like that! Although, I need to be able to lie on a sweater rack inside it or something because I don't think I'd do very well with all that spinning! lol Hey, maybe you should spice things up by leaving a toy out on the bed for him to find? I would imagine that would get his attention. *hehehe* Keep warm Sunny! :)

  13. I'm trying to keep warm. Hopefully this cold weather will cease soon. This is supposed to break tomorrow. Our toy box was dusted off the other evening. As I told PK I think he took the frustration of the team losing out on my tush. I love to dance our dance.

Sorry for your team losing too.

  14. MM says yes! although he'd like to come out without wrinkles. lol.

So much football angst. Our team is still in the running so there is more angst to come. Hope you find some warm sunshine.

  15. Cold spell is supposed to break tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed. If I thought there was a chance that dryer thing would work, I would be in it just to get rid of the wrinkles, the three sizes wouldn't be too bad either.

Congrats on your team which I assume is the Pats. They're pretty tough so even though I REALLY don't like them, in the spirit of good will, I will wish them good luck.
