LEST WE FORGET

I hope we all take a moment to remember those brave souls that lost their lives in one of the most horrific events this country has ever experienced.

Grateful and thankful on this day.  See you later for more Aimless Ramblings.

  4. I hope none of us ever forget. Beautiful tribute picture. I think it is wonderful that so many of us have posted remembrances.

  6. I thought about it today, in church, seated in the soprano section of the choir, at another funeral of an elderly and lovely woman of 95. While the minister was droning about Paul's letter to the Ephesians (sorry to the people who enjoy that part of the service, it is just usually where I remember the deceased) I was thinking about the people who never got an opportunity to do all the wonderful things this lucky lady had done.
To live a life creating a wealth of memories for her old age, to be surrounded in the embrace of a loving family as she began to get older, even to accept the reality of the end of her life.
Those are all pleasure that were denied to the people who were taken that day in September.
My hearts aches more for them 11 years later, than this world weary soul we said goodbye to today.....I think she would agree.
