Striped for the Holiday

Image result for American flagsHappy Monday - Here in the US, it's the third day of a three-day weekend for most.  Memorial Day, while it's meant to be a day to remember those who have given their all, it's widely celebrated as the unofficial beginning of summer.  There are usually parades, and picnics and cookouts as folks start to anticipate the warmer days ahead.'

Here's today's story.

Nina was peeling potatoes when Pete came into the kitchen.  He shook his head, it was starting.

They always had a cookout on Memorial Day weekend to celebrate the unofficial start of summer.  Their house on the lake was the perfect setting for summer fun.  It was usually a little too cold to swim but that didn’t stop some folks, especially after a couple of alcoholic beverages.   It was always a good time and most of their friends, and friends of friends attended.

Although they both loved to host parties, it became a stressful time in the days leading up to the cookout. Nina became a little frenzied.  He knew it best to simply stay out of the way.  Refusing all offers of help and wanting to do everything herself, led to taxing situations.  Situations that were usually resolved with her sporting a red bottom.

“Honey, I’m going to start getting the outside stuff ready, if you need me for anything, just holler, okay.”

“I’ll be fine,” was her response.  He tried giving her a kiss and she pulled away.  He patted her bottom and hoped she took the message to heart.  He was in the middle of hosing off the patio furniture when he heard Nina’s voice. Her voice became louder and louder and her language kept getting a little more colorful.  He dropped the hose and went inside in time to see her slam down the phone.

“Can I help?”

“Did I call you?”

“No.”

“Then I don’t need your help,” she said testily. Pete let it slide.

“Calm down, Nina.”

“Go back to what you were doing, I’m fine.”

He didn’t want the situation to escalate, so he went back outside.   He could hear her slamming things around in the kitchen and shook his head.  He continued getting the stuff out of the garage when Charlie pulled up.

“Need a hand.” He asked.

“Sure, I’m trying to get everything set up so it’s not so hectic tomorrow.”  With Charlie’s help, everything was done in no time.

“Want a beer?”

“Is the pope Catholic?” Charlie responded.  Pete went in the kitchen, which looked as if a bomb had gone off, went to the fridge and got two beers.  He brought them out and had just settled into the loungers, when Nina came out, hands on hips, yelling at him that there was a lot to do and he didn’t need to be taking a beer break already. Charlie, knowing it was time to bow out, took his beer and headed to his truck.

“I’ll see you later folks.” Charlie said as he took off.

“You embarrassed the hell out of Charlie, not to mention making a fool of yourself. Charlie helped me and we have all the outdoor stuff done.  I’ve asked you several times if you needed help and your answer has always been that you could do it yourself.  Well, as usual, you do need help and I’m going to provide it.”

He took her by the hand and led her into the house.  It dawned on her that she had crossed the line and began dragging her heels, knowing what was about to happen.  He managed to find a spatula amid the clutter and sat down on the stool, pulling her across his raised knee, raising her sundress.  The thong separated her plump cheeks perfectly and he smiled to himself.

“Now, this is what’s going to happen from now on.  I’m going to redden your bottom, and you’re going to call Charlie and apologize for your behavior.  Once you’re straightened away, we will both straighten out this kitchen and you will calm down or you’ll be back here again.  Do you understand?”

“Yes.”  With that, he began to exert his dominance.  He watched her white globes flatten out each time the spatula landed with a splat, and each time a red spot was left behind.  He didn’t hold back because he knew she needed this but that didn’t stop her from protesting loudly while flailing her legs about.  A few whacks to her thighs solved that problem and he went back to pummeling her now rose-tinged bottom.  He was by no means done,  this was going to be a thorough spanking and her butt would be blazing hot before he was done.  It would be a reminder for the rest of the day for her to behave.
He finally felt her let go and eased up on the spanks.  He laid the spatula on the counter and gave her the last few swats with his hand.  When his hand began to sting, he let her up.  Nina began to rearrange herself and pulled down her dress.

“Nope, that dress stays tucked up.  Think of it as a reminder. “  He handed her the phone and dialed Charlie’s number.

“Do I really have to apologize?”

“What do you think?”

Luckily or not, the phone went to voicemail and she left a message.  “Now what? “ she asked.

“Now I’ll help you straighten out this kitchen.”

"I can do it myself," she told him as she started pulling down her dress that had been tucked up into the waistband of her panties.

Pete stopped her. “Not going to happen, sweetie. I'm gonna help and the dress stays that way until we’re finished here, it’ll be a good reminder and I like the view."

Pete had discovered that a spanking always calmed down Nina.  He learned, by accident, early on in their marriage.  They were arguing about something and she was being a real shrew.  When he’d had enough and started walking away she picked up a fork and threw it at him. He didn’t even think before he took her over his knee and spanked her. Knowing Nina, he was sure he was going to get arrested but at the time he didn’t care. Nina surprised him and after the spanking actually apologized for being such a brat.  After that, whenever necessary, and sometimes even when not necessary, he’d warm her backside.

Nina and Pete had things squared away in no time.  Her dress came down and she went into his arms – life had returned to normal and they shared a pleasant evening.

The next day started out stormy and Nina was not a happy camper.  “Relax, honey, it’ll clear up by the time everyone gets here.  It’s just one of those summer storms.”

The longer it stormed, the stormier her mood.  Pete knew what he had to do.  He grabbed the backscratcher and over his knee she went.  After about ten strokes of that bamboo torture wand, Nina’s name for it, he let her up.  She popped up, rubbing the sting out of her backside.

“Damn, that hurt.”

“Sorry, babe, but you needed that.”

‘So you say.”  Suddenly the kitchen filled with sunlight and she smiled.  She looked out the window and could see a rainbow out over the lake.

“It’s going to be a good day,” she told him.

“Yes, it is and you’re going to be the most patriotic gal at the cookout.”

“How do you figure that?”

“If you go look in the mirror, you ‘ll see your red and white striped bottom.  If you’re not good, I might have to add some blue.”

“Oh, no, you won’t,” and she gave him a wet, sloppy kiss.

Taking a moment to think of all the freedoms I enjoy at someone else's expense.  Thank you.

See you later for more Aimless Ramblings.
