APRIL ANSWERS to MARCH'S QUESTIONS

April 2nd - a lovely morning here in AZ.  Later on I will be stressing over writing a story for publication tomorrow but right now here are the answers to your questions. Thanks so much for taking the time to visit and ask questions.

Jan, our English Rose asked.  What does Ray think about meeting other bloggers? Do these men folk actually discuss ttwd or avoid the subject like the plague?

Other than Jack, Ray has not met any other bloggers.  He has spoken with PK on the telephone.

Mere and I didn't discuss TTWD at all and listening with one ear to the guys, I didn't hear any talk about either.  I can't imagine Ray discussing anything like that with anyone, but I could be wrong.

Roz asked: What is our favorite thing to do together?  What is my favorite movie?

I'd have to say our favorite thing to do together is any water-related activity.  We both love the water and whether it's a cruise, or a boat ride, or just being at the beach, we're happy campers.  (I know then why did we pick living in a land-locked state?  Another blog needed to answer that question).

My favorite movie - I don't know I could pick just one movie.  I can tell you that I like being entertained, so if a movie can make me laugh or feel good, I could watch it more than once and it's likely to be added to a list of my favorites.  Some examples, The Holiday, Notting Hill, Jersey Boys,

Lindy Thomas asked:  Whether there is a sequel to my latest western romance, Finding Home.

I think there may be, although I haven’t begun writing it or any other possible book yet.

How do I think of my books, does a character pop into my head and speak to me so that they write their own story?

Whether it’s a book or a weekly story, I sit down on the computer and my fingers take over.  Names, events everything in the story is usually as much as a surprise to me as it is to the readers.

Ronnie asked: How I choose my characters?  As I’ve said to Lindy, my characters choose me.  Once in a while, they may have a characteristic of someone in my life, but otherwise, they live in my head.

Did I have a childhood ambition?  Believe it or not, I wanted to be a secretary, I think from watching an old television program titled Private Secretary with Ann Sothern.  It seemed so romantic.  Yes, I achieved that goal.  I was lucky enough to become an assistant to a high-powered executive when I was pretty young spent twelve years on and off working with him.  That too, is another story.

This is it for today.  I'll answer the other questions later in the week. See you later for more Aimless Ramblings.

  1. These were fun to read, Sunny. Sam and Dan have met, and there was absolutely no discussion of ttwd. And I love Notting Hill. Perhaps we can watch it together someday!

    Love,

  2. Hi Sunny, I don't think my beloved would discuss ttwd with anyone either. Not many of our husbands would I don't imagine. I enjoyed "The Holiday" too

    1. Men are much too private once they've grown out of boyhood to share stuff like that, especially about women they love.

Love the Holiday - as with Notting Hill - such a feel good movie.

  3. Thanks for sharing your answers, Sunny. Would really like to know the answer as to why you picked a land locked state when you love the water so much. Are you at least near a large lake?

    Hugs and blessings...Cat

    1. We are - Lake Pleasant is within 20 miles. Would love to live in California again, but once you leave, unless you've won the lotto, you can't afford to go back. At least, the ocean is not that far away - either Mexico or California.

  4. Hi Sunny, I enjoyed reading your answers to these. Thank you for answering my questions, unfortunately Rick doesn't really like being around water. I would be interested to know why you chose a land locked state too. I love The Holiday and Notting Hill too, haven't seen Jersey Boys.

Ooh, I hope their is a sequel to your latest book :)

    Hugs
    Roz

    1. Regarding the land locked state - see my answer to Cat above.

Jersey Boys is about Frankie Valle and the 4 Seasons. I love it because the music reminds me of younger days and it keeps me young to relive it. I remember driving down to the shore listening to them on the radio.
We'll see about the book. One of these days real soon, I'm going to actually sit down and see what I can come up with.

  5. Thanks for answering SG. P wouldn't discuss ttwd with someone else. Cat question, I've wondered why you didn't settle down near the ocean?

    1. Ronnie - see my answer above about the land-locked state. One other thing I didn't mention is that at least we're closer to our daughter and the grandkids here.
