HOT TIMES AHEAD

Arizona - after 57 days on the road we have finally arrived at our final destination.  Well, almost.  We are within 100 miles.  In the last three days we've been through two time zones.  I'm not sure what time it is anywhere.  We are going to be indoctrinated to an AZ summer this weekend.  Although this time of year is typically only in the 80's there is a good possibility the first 100 of the season will be here to greet us.  They have a name for it but right now it escapes me.  HOT comes to mind.

Speaking of hot, true to his word my husband gave me my NM spanking yesterday.  The doggin bat has become his implement of choice.  Fine by me.It gives a nice sting without too much hurt. I was nicely pinked when he was done.  I've recently ordered some new toys.  Can't wait to get them and try them out.  I had them sent to my friends house whose address we're using.  I let her know I was expecting packages so she just didn't think they were hers and inadvertently open them.  That would be more explaining than I care to do.

Driving through NM and AZ today we saw some really astonishing landscapes.  Having lived in Florida for the last 15 years I've forgotten what it's like to look ahead and see mountains.  By afternoon we not only saw them but were in them.  Seeing those boulders so precariously resting on one another really gives you a feeling of the grandeur of Mother Nature. It's like the Thunder Mountain ride in Disneyland only it is for real.

The stars tonight are so bright.  We are basically out in the desert and the city lights do not intrude as much so they are vibrant.  I just want to pluck one and put it in my pocket.  It still doesn't compare to the night skies we were used to in CO though.

Bright eyes and happy smiles to you.  See you later with more aimless ramblings.

Luckily I didn't need to explain.

    1. I know they can, it's spring now and it's heading for 100 this weekend. Not sure if we will be here in the summer. Exploring our options now.

  6. There is lots of what I call "lonely land" in Arizona. It's a neat place to experience bigness.

Glad you are close to your final destination.

    1. AZ definitely has a lot of open spaces.

Close to my final destination, do you know something I don't? HAHA

This may be our home base, maybe not. At this point we are not sure what we are going to do. There are a lot of options available to us and one of them is calling our name. We just haven't heard it yet.
