Questions Answered

Thanks for the questions folks.  Here are the answers.  If anyone stopping by has any more questions, I will be happy to answer.

Missy Jones ask about the best place we've ever traveled.  In the contiguous states, I have to say the most beautiful area is the Big Sur/Redwoods area of California.  There are so many beautiful places though it's hard to pick just one.

Del Fonte asked about our favorite highway.  The one you mentioned you were lucky enough to travel, is my favorite highway.  The scenery along Rte. 1 is breathtakingly beautiful.

Roz asked if we were closer to settling down and where it is likely to be.  We have made reservations to be in AZ through April of next year.  It's a toss up between AZ and Texas and will depend on next winter.  If this horrible weather in Dallas was not a fluke, it will be AZ.  Stay tuned :).

Jan, our English Rose wanted to know what is the one place I want to travel but can't.
I think I have to say Cuba.  It's always fascinated me because it's just 90 miles away and once upon a time I was engaged to someone who was from there and it seemed such a beautiful place.  Of course, all is different now but it still beckons.

Ronnie asked what my dream house would be and if we have traveled outside of the US?
My dream house would be a 2 bedroom cottage with a sleeping porch somewhere along a beach.  I have been to Canada, Mexico and lots of Carribean Islands.

abby asked when and how did I start writing.  Blame PK and Fantasy Friday.  I visited regularly and one day listened to her plea for stories.  I tried my hand and she published. My first story was titled A Thanksgiving Tale and it was Thanksgiving 2011, I think.

Quiet Sara wanted to kow how we can travel so much.  Ray and I are both retired and we live and travel in a motor home.  We have been doing it for the last two years.

Betsy wanted to know my favorite implement.  I have to say it is the doggin bat, closely followed by his belt.

Terps wanted to know what we did to earn the beads?  Just a good eye and a quick catch.

Kenzie wanted to know what one implement we would use forever?  His hand will last forever, well at least till the arthritis takes over.  Seriously, I'm a leather fan so I guess his belt.

Katie wanted to know if we figured out what to do with the beads. Not yet, have a few ideas though.  Do you have any?

See you later for more Aimless Ramblings.

  1. Nice answers.where is AZ? I don't know what that stands for. I am a very happily untravelled person but it does make me ignorant!

    1. Sorry, AZ is Arizona. You are by no means ignorant, I'm just lazy and used the postal prefix instead of spelling it out.

  2. Hi Sunny, thank you for answering the questions, I enjoyed reading this. So likely Arizona eh. Sounds wonderful :) (Jan AZ is short for Arizona).

I will happily blame .. I mean thank PK for getting you started writing and your dream house sounds perfect.

    1. We are indeed lucky. I love the redwood forest, so glad you will get to visit them next year.

I have been to 48 of the 50. I have never been to Alaska or Washington. I keep saying one of these days - but it won't be in the motor home.

    1. I hope you get to do it Sara. It is a nice having your home with you. We've been doing it for over two years now and although I love it, I am about ready to settle in one place.

  8. I don't think I've visited your blog in awhile. It's so hard to keep up - especially with Q&A month. It's fun to hear all the answers though. I don't think I realized you traveled. My husband and I have travel aspirations once he is done with school as he would easily be able to travel with his job. We really really want to do the RV lifestyle for awhile as there's so much we want to see and explore. I think it's an amazing thing to do. I mean, we only live once, right?

Oh...and Q's...what was your biggest hurdle when you started RV'ing it? Are there any DD challenges that are unique to being in an RV? Any travel spots that are a must for a family with young children?

    1. It is nice. Will you home school or just travel during the summer.

This past summer while we were in California we met a couple from France. They came along with their two children and spent six months traveling the United States. Imagine the memories those children will have, not to mention experiencing what others are only able to read in books. I hope you do get the opportunity.

There is so much to see and do, it all depends on you. I'm a history buff so sites like Williamsburg, The Smithsonian, The Alamo are nirvana to me, you may be different.
Do your research ahead of time.

  9. Thanks Sunny! These were fun to read. Your dream house sounds pretty wonderful to me. Very similar to what Rob and I would enjoy I think, I'll keep thinking on those beads. Maybe a school theater group or a pedi dentist office where they can give them out as prizes after teeth cleaning??? IDK- making this stuff up! :D Good luck! Many hugs,

    <3 Katie

  11. Okay me again!!! I really tried not to be nosy and ask you this but I can't help myself and since you have read my blog you know I am serious... like very little self control over here!!! So, considering how you live in an RV what is that like when you get spanked? Do you have to be super quiet??? Just wondering!!!

Oh, and another question. How did you get started writing about DD type things? :)

    Thanks!!!!

    Sara :)

    1. Most places we've stayed in, offer a lot of privacy. If they havent, and we don't know who is next to us, I don't care. If were staying close to friends/family, we are just careful.
Bear in mind though, ours is not serious DD, I like being spanked and he likes spanking me, but there's no punishment/maintenance that is meted out, so time and noise doesn't come into it at all. Does that make any sense?

I have always been a spanko, so when I found blog land, I was in heaven. abby's questions was how I started writing and my answer to her explains how I got started. It has just evolved from FF to stories on my blog, to writing novellas.

      Thanks for the great questions

    2. Thanks for taking time to answer my added questions :)

I knew you didn't live DD but you do get spanked for fun. I wondered how
that would work while traveling but sounds like it isn't a problem at all.
Maybe we will do the RV thing one day. We keep talking about it.
On one hand, it sounds just like something we would love but on
another hand we toy with having a farm or ranch. Honestly I think by
the time we could have a farm we won't want to do all that added work
though and travelling would be a lot more fun.

      hugs

  12. What is a doggin bat? I will be Googling tonight lol. I've been campaigning against wood here, to no avail but still trying. I think someone needs a leather paddle for his birthday. :) Coming over the bridge this coming week!

    1. I hope you googled, because it's hard to describe but it is leather. I prefer leather to wood and I think you should get him one for his birthday.

Timing is everything. We left today and I am answering this from the Dallas area. Too bad.

  14. Great answers! I think my dream house would look a lot like yours. I'd love to try a motor home for a year or two someday. I hear you meet so many people that way.

I'd love to travel route 1 someday. That and Big Sur are definitely on our bucket list. Our two favorite roads for now are route 30A in FL and ranch road 336 in TX.

    1. Leah,
You'll have to tell me about RR336 in Texas. I'm not familiar with it and would like to check it out. As for Florida 30 A, I agree with you it is beautiful. The funny thing is I never traveled it until two years ago even though I lived in Florida for 15 years.
