Memories of Christmas - Part Two

Had a notice on Christmas Eve that my latest adventure, A Cowboy's Love, is live.

Hope your Christmas was magical?  I know I expect ours to be.  I'm putting this up ahead of time because, with everyone in the house, privacy is not an option.  This is a short little follow-up to last week's story.  Hope you enjoy.

We just experienced the best Christmas ever.  Everyone was here, we all got along, no sibling rivalry, no hurt feelings, just plain fun.  Maybe it was because it was the last one in our home.  By next year, another family will be living here, making their own memories.

A couple of memorable things happened.  Our eldest son dressed in Barry’s old Santa suit and enacted the role.  Once it was dark and the children down for the night, he knew his eldest was not entirely asleep yet.  He went outside and made noise knowing his son would come to the window. The little one was sure Santa wasn't real but still wanted to believe the fantasy.  Seeing Santa made him a believer for another year at least.  On Christmas morning, he was wide-eyed with wonder as he told his sister and his cousins all about seeing Santa.  The best part was the deer came to feed, sometime during the night and all the reindeer food was gone from the front yard and deer tracks everywhere.

Another thing was watching and listening to each of our children’s special memory of Christmas in our house. There were so many remember when's we lost track. We played a game in which everyone chose a tree ornament and at Christmas dinner had to tell why it was special to them.  It was fun listening to the stories, especially the youngest ones.  The tears and laughter rang heartily when Barry shared the story of the flying turkey, or the time I almost burned down the house by burning dried out pine boughs in the fireplace,  and my husband hefting that large video camera on his shoulder, so it was all caught on tape.  Now, everyone’s phones captured the moments.

When everyone left they took their special ornament with them with promises to return in a day or two to help us de-Christmas the house and get it ready for sale.  Barry and I sat in the room and gazed around and held tight to each other while we thought about what we had created.

I happened to look down at the tree and spotted a package, hidden at the back of the tree, that hadn’t been opened.

“Oh look, Barry, we forgot a present.”

“Oh no, why don’t you see whose it is.”

I got up, went over and picked it up.  The box wasn’t very heavy, or big but it was beautifully wrapped, and the card had my name in big bold letters.

“It’s for me,” I told him.

“Well, open it.”

“But who is it from, it doesn’t say.”

“Maybe, there’s a card inside,” Barry answered, with not a telltale clue on his face.

As I carefully unwrapped the present, tears started falling as I spied what it was.  There, in my lap, was a leather-covered book with gold lettering titled “Lessons Learned.”  Inside were all the essays he had me write through the years.  The last page was an essay, written by him, explaining why he loved me so and how important I was to him and our family.

Once the sobs subsided, he attempted to carry me upstairs, but I’m not as feather-light as I once was and I could see the strain on his face.

“Put me down, darling.  Save your strength for when we get to the bedroom.”

He laughed.  "That's one of the many reasons I love you so." He slapped my fanny and we climbed the stairs together.

"And that's one of the reasons I love you." I told him as I gave him my special wink.

Memories of Christmas

This time next week, Christmas  2016 will be a memory. What will you write in your diary to remember next year or ten years from now?

We were finally finished. 444 Shady Elm Drive was festooned in her holiday garb for the last time under our ownership.  Barry carried me over the threshold as a young bride more than forty years ago, and every Christmas since we would drape fresh pine, fairy lights and red bows across the width and breadth of her welcoming arms.  We stood back and admired our handiwork.  Next, we would decorate the tree that stood sentinel to our front porch.  Berries, strings of popcorn, and packets of birdseed tied to its  boughs would welcome our flighted friends.  Here’s where the kids would put out the reindeer food as a welcome to Santa’s friends. Every inch of this house provided a loving memory, but it was time for Barry and I to begin another chapter in our lives.

The stately Victorian lady was a beauty and the porch is what sold me on the house all those many years ago.  It was more house than we needed or could afford at the time, but we managed. The previous owners worked with Barry and held the second mortgage because they wanted to sell to people who would love the house as much as they had.  We were that couple.  We spent lots time and money keeping her beautiful as she aged along with us.
It wasn’t always easy, but Barry held my feet to the fire (or should I say lit my bottom on fire) many times over the years when I overspent our very carefully crafted budget.  Once our son came along and I was a stay at home mom I had to economize even further, and Christmas time was always a red-bottomed time for me.  It was very difficult not to overspend our budget, not only on presents but on making the house a beautiful tribute to Christmas.

All of those memories came flooding back as we worked.  This year, when the Christmas decorations came down from the attic, they wouldn’t  be packed up and stored for the following year. This year, our children and grandchildren would be urged to pick out their favorite item and take it with them.   There were very few exceptions – things I couldn’t part with no matter what the consequences, then or now.

Things like the twelve piece Dresden Nativity set I purchased our second Christmas.  I was still working and planned on having it paid off before Barry knew the true cost.  Unfortunately, our son came along before that happened.  When Barry saw the bill and what was still left to pay, there was hell to pay.  I not only received my very first belt spanking that had me sitting on a welted bruised bottom for days, but somewhere in our memory box is an essay on trust among husband and wife.  That was as difficult to write as the spanking was to bear.  The pages became tear-stained as the lesson became clearer as the words filled the page.

The first year we were married, Barry purchased this God-awful angel as a tree topper.  Gaudy doesn’t even begin to describe it but Barry loved it and for years it adorned the treetop.  He would lovingly gaze at its gaudy beauty and hang it in its place of honor.  It reigned supreme for ten years before I couldn’t stand looking at her any longer.  I found an angel to take her place and replaced his angel while he was at work.  He may never have noticed until our daughter, bless her heart, commented on how beautiful was our new angel.  A battle ensued, ending with the warning that the old angel better be back in place or my ass would be toast.  Since I’d burned the old angel, my ass was, indeed, toasted to a crisp. That essay on respecting your mate’s desires and personal possessions is also in the memory box.

We came inside as the day began its journey into night. Barry lit a fire, put on the old Christmas albums, and we started the task of decorating our inside tree.  Years before, Barry finally convinced me that it would be much more convenient to have an artificial tree. And here’s the reason for the next Christmas bottom warming memory. After much searching, I found one that I thought would make me happy.  It was a seven-foot beauty, with over a thousand pre-strung lights and the price tag was in the range of the lights.  My reasoning was that we would have the tree for years and if we amortized the cost of what we would spend yearly on a real tree, it was a bargain.  Barry didn’t agree – I was over his knee getting my backside warmed before the first ornament was placed.  We still have the tree and for years Barry reminded me of how expensive it was by giving me the number of spanks amortized through the years.  Another essay on how we were never to spend more than $200 without first consulting the other partner is boxed along with the others.

The box with the Santa Claus suit was set aside for our oldest son.  Obviously, it hadn’t been used in years, and when we pulled it out, Barry and I both laughed.  He found the suit in a used clothing store and as a lark decided to buy it to play Santa Claus for our kids.  That night, when the kids were in bed, Barry tried on the suit.  We were teasing and playing around, and he was telling me what a naughty girl I was and how naughty girls were spanked.  There I was, sprawled over Santa’s lap, getting my bottom spanked when our son walked into the room.  He came over and started pummeling Santa with his little fist telling him to leave his mommy alone.   What a snow job Barry thought he did convincing our little one that he must have been dreaming.  It wasn’t until years later that our son confessed that he knew it was Barry all along and said he’d learned a valuable lesson that he carried forth into his own marriage.

Then there were the ornaments we purchased each year, reminding us of a special vacation or events in our life – ballet slippers, ice skates, a Hawaiian beach shirt, a cap and gown and the infamous cheese board (paddle) Barry purchased the same time he bought the infamous Christmas Angel, all cherished memories.

Once the tree decorations had all been placed, the lights lit, the Nativity Scene arranged under the tree, Barry and I sat back to admire our hard work.  We were exhausted, but there was one thing left to do.

“Are you ready?” he asked.

“Yes, let’s get it done.”

He bared my bottom and placed me across his lap.  “Now let’s get this bottom in the Christmas spirit,” he said and began to spank so that I too was decorated in red for the holidays.

A Sexual Encounter

I know that many of you are or have been in the deep freeze. It may not officially be winter yet, but Mother Nature sent a calling. After lulling us with a warmer than normal fall here in most of the US, the sudden cold caught us by surprise.  We've even had some chilly days here in AZ - down to the mid 40's at night but once the sun comes out, even though the thermometer may say 60 something, it feels more like 70 something.

Well, I'm out of words, so here's this weeks story.

Bonnie had been alone for the last couple of years.  Her husband had passed; he’d been sick a long time, and she cared for him to the end.  She had grieved for him long before he took that final journey – she grieved for what had been.

After Ben had passed, she sold the house and moved into a condo, where everything was taken care of.  No more yard work, no more shoveling the walk in winter, no more putting up and taking down the screens with the season.  No, a condo, where the monthly maintenance fee included all of those things.

The holidays were looming, and Bonnie didn’t want to spend another Christmas with someone else’s family.  She had invites, she always had invites, a great circle of friends rallied around her during Bill’s sickness and sustained her during this final days.  She loved them all, but now she wanted something different.  She was tired of being  Poor Betty, a widow way too young.  This year she booked herself a vacation – a Mediterranean Cruise.  A thirteen day Mediterranean Odyssey sailing from Barcelona to Venice.

It was expensive, but she had been very frugal and felt she could splurge.  She reserved a suite complete with balcony.  The ship's itinerary included stops in France, Monaco, Florence, Rome and Naples Italy before cruising the Ionian Sea and visit Corfu Greece.  She didn’t care about Dubrovnik and Split Croatia, but she could spend those two days on the ship resting up for the stay in Venice.  The cruise ended in Venice, a place she and Ben had always wanted to see, but it always seemed too expensive.  Well, she wasn’t going to worry about the cost.  Bonnie booked an extended three day stay in Venice planning to tour the magnificent bridges, palazzos, and the ancient churches.  Summertime, an old movie starring Katherine Hepburn and Rossano Brazzi, had spurred her interest in St. Mark’s Square and she was about to miss that or the Bridge of Sighs.
Many of her well-meaning friends were horrified she planned on traveling alone.  It was what she wanted.  She had gone from her father’s house to her husband’s, and now she reveled in her independence.
She flew first class from New York to Barcelona.  It was another first for her, and she vowed she’d never sit cramped up like a sardine again -if she couldn’t afford to go, first class, she’d stay home.  She hired a taxi to take her to the ship, and the taxi driver flirted with her the whole way. Apparently, having your hair done and shedding twenty pounds was worth the trouble.  It made her feel alive – it had been a long time since a man had taken notice.
After finding her cabin and unpacking, Bonnie wandered up to the Viewing Deck to take in the sights of Barcelona.  She noticed a solitary man doing the same and wandered over to him.
“Excuse me, do you know the city?”  When he turned her heart went into her throat. The man was dead drop gorgeous.  He had dark wavy hair, with strands of silver throughout, a well-tanned complexion with the tiniest of crinkles, around the eyes and mouth and the bluest eyes you could imagine.
“I should, I was born here,” he replied in heavily accented Engish.
“I’m a tourist and wondered if you could point out some of the sights.”
“But, of course.  Allow me to introduce myself.  I’m Guillermo Perez, and you are?”
“Bonnie Simpson,”  She extended her hand, and instead of shaking it he brought it to his lips and kissed it.  Her fantasies went into overdrive.
He began pointing out the various rooftops in the distance.  Bonnie could barely take her eyes off him.  After a bit, a tall, willowy woman came toward them and Bonnie’s bubble burst. ‘Of course, this gorgeous man is taken.’  The woman kissed Guillermo on both cheeks and stepped back to introduce herself to Bonnie.
“Hello, I’m Isabella Perez.  Is my father boring you.”
Bonnie was taken aback for a moment to process that this gorgeous woman was his daughter, then answered.
“It is probably me that is boring him.  I asked him to point out some of the more famous buildings.”
“Trust me, he is not bored.  He loves this city and wants everyone else to love it too. When my mother was alive, she was constantly being bombarded with facts of her adopted city.”
Isabella Perez was a clever woman and Bonnie noted she managed to let her know that her father wasn’t attached.  Could it be she was trying to find someone to entertain him on this cruise?
“The ship is getting ready to embark soon, and I don’t think we want to be standing under the horn when it blows.  Shall we adjourn to the bar.”  Guillermo said.
“I don’t wish to impose,” Bonnie said.
“Quite the contrary.  I’m sure my father would love to have a companion his own age instead of me and my fiance.  You get to know one another, and perhaps we can meet again later.”  Isabella said and took her leave.
Guillermo and Bonnie found a table near the window where he could still point out the city’s sights.  Once the ship began to sail, they went back out on the deck to watch.

“Tell me, Bonnie, why are you alone on this cruise.  This is a cruise usually reserved for couples.”

“I guess I could ask you the same question, Guillermo?” she said.

“I’ll tell you, Bonnie, I’m a widower and have been wallowing in my grief for far too long - at least according to Isabella.  When her fiance decided to take this cruise, they asked me to join them.  Of course, I said no.  What do they want with an old fool tagging along?  That's when they dropped the bombshell.  They plan on getting married when we get to Greece.  There’s no way I could miss my only daughter’s wedding, so here I am.  Now how about you?
“I am a widow, too, and I guess you could say this is my way of saying goodbye to my former life and hello to the rest of my life.  My husband and I always wanted to do this, but like so many others, life got in the way.  Now here I am doing it on my own.”
A waiter came by then with a tray of champagne.  Guillermo picked up two and handed one to Bonnie.  “Here to new beginnings.”  They clinked glasses, and each took a sip.

That was the beginning.  After that, Guillermo acted as Bonnie’s private tour guide, both on and off the ship.  Bonnie loved his old world charm and courtly manners.  She’d forgotten what it was like to be treated like a precious jewel.  Ben was a gentleman but nothing like Guillermo.  She supposed it had to do with his upbringing, he came from and was a wealthy man.  He owned vineyards, both in Spain and Italy, and it was easy to tell he was a man of culture and refinement and definitely used to being in control.
At first, Bonnie loved his charm and manner.  However, after a while, she found those attributes cloying.  He was always there to tell her what to do and how to do it and when she didn’t take his advice, he would raise his eyebrow and practically will her into submission with just that one look.
Their first altercation came when she wanted to stay in the sun longer than he thought prudent.  She defied him, later complaining she was too sunburned to dine out and wanted nothing more than to stay in her cabin.
“Perhaps if you had listened to me Cara Mia, you wouldn’t be in this predicament.”
“You’re right, but I didn’t, and now I’m paying the price.”
“You’re lucky I don’t take you over my knee and spank you for being so childish.”
“What did you just say?”
“You heard me.”
“No, say it again, I want to be clear what I think I heard.”
“I said you are lucky I’m not taking you over my knee for being childish.”
“That’s what I thought you said.  I’ll have you know, I’m a grown woman and have and can make decisions on my own, and as long as no one else suffers if I’ve made a wrong one, so be it.
“I’m suffering from your decision.  We’ve been asked to join the Captain’s table this evening, so if you had obeyed me, you wouldn’t be in pain and we would be enjoying a delightful evening and wouldn’t be having this argument.”
“Perhaps, it is best then, because there is no way I’m allowing any man to treat me like a child.”
“Cara, didn’t your Ben ever take you over his knee.”
“Of course not.”
“Then you have no idea what you’re missing.  A spanking can be fun for all involved.”
“Are you telling me you spanked your wife.”
“Many times.”
“And you were married how long?”
“Twenty-seven wonderful years.”
“Ben and I were married almost that long, but we wouldn’t have made it one year if he had spanked me.”
Guillermo only smiled, and Bonnie wanted so badly to wipe that smile off his face.  He turned and left the cabin.  Bonnie lay down on the bed, and the fresh sea breeze wafting into the cabin from the open balcony door soon had her asleep.  She was surprised when she woke, it was dark inside and out.  She stepped out onto the balcony and watched the stars twinkle in the black night.  She thought about the conversation she and Guillermo had earlier.  ‘Maybe I am missing out on something, after all, millions of women read FSOG, loved it and said it changed their lives, maybe I should give it a chance.’
She slipped on a loose-fitting caftan and went in search of Guillermo.  She spotted him sitting at the bar on the Lido Deck, having a drink.  He was seated next to another woman. The green-eyed monster filled her with resolve as she walked up to them.
“What’s going on here?” she inquired.
“Millicent and I are having an aperitif after a delightful dinner, aren’t we?”
“Yes, it was delightful as is the company.”
“Bonnie, let me introduce Millicent Fenton, she’s a fellow compatriot of yours.”
“Charmed." Bonnie said. "Guillermo, may I speak with you?”
“Certainly, cara.”
“Alone, if you please.”
“I’ll come to your cabin after Millicent and I have finished our drink unless you’d like to join us.”
“No, I don’t want to join you.” Bonnie practically stomped her foot as she walked off, without so much as a goodbye.
“Maybe, we better end the evening, Guillermo.  Your girlfriend looks annoyed.”
“Yes, she does, doesn’t she." He smiled to himself. "Let’s take our time and let her stew a little.  She’s been a little naughty today.”
“Oooh,” Millicent said.  They sat there another fifteen minutes or so while they finished their drinks.  Guillermo walked Millicent to her cabin and then proceeded to Bonnie’s stateroom.
He rapped gently on the door.  No reply.  He rapped a little firmer and still no reply.  A steward came by then.  Guillermo explained the situation and the steward rapped on the door and identified himself.  When she opened the door, there stood Guillermo.
“Hello, Cara.  I guess you didn’t hear me knock.”
“I heard.”  The steward felt the temperature of the room rise and took his leave.
“So then, you were only acting childish again. I think, perhaps, you want that spanking.”
Suddenly, Bonnie felt all flushed, with butterflies having a field day in her tummy.”
“I think not.”
“Your face and your actions say differently.”  He took her over to the bed and put her across his knee.  He lifted the caftan and saw she was bare underneath.  ‘All the better’ he thought.
The first spank echoed around the room. “Stop it, stop it this minute,” Bonnie yelled.
Her protest was met with another spank, much harder than the first.  She brought up her legs only to have him smack her calves and bring his leg over hers, holding her in place.
“Damn you, I said stop it,” he heard her say.  He noticed her tone was considerably different than before.  That's when he noticed the glistening on her thighs. He spanked a few more times then stopped spanking and began to caress those now reddened globes. He soon heard her mewling sounds.
"Shall I keep spanking or do you want to go on to other things, Cara?"
"Whatever you say, Guillermo."
He smiled to himself.

And so ends another tale on Aimless Rambling.

Winter Rambles and Rumbles

Good Morning All

I'm probably still on a sugar high so if this doesn't make any sense, just laugh and go on your way.

Yesterday we had a cookie exchange here at our clubhouse and I had to laugh.  Most of us brought our contributions and I'm sure our local grocery store is working overtime to replenish their supply - obviously, I'm not the only one who doesn't bake.

Seriously though I did make something afterward.  It's call crack for want of a better name.  Ray fell in love with it so I'm sure I'm going to have to make it again before Christmas.  It's easy as can be.  If anyone's interested, email me and I'll send you the recipe. (no baking involved)

After the cookie exchange, I went shopping and hopefully walked off some of the calories of the morning. I didn't even bother to check my sugar this morning, I didn't want to know.  Not only did I eat some of those tasty treats at the exchange, but I only had a salami sandwich for dinner - not good but I'm still here so it can't be that bad.  I did find lots of stocking stuffers for our son-in-law and the kids, but nothing for our daughter. She is so picky, I can't imagine where she gets that from.

Some more ramblin' here.  I ordered some stuff from Bath and Body Works and it arrived yesterday. One of the items were the 'wall flowers' and one of them was the scented balsam.  My house now smells like I have a real tree.  I love the smell of fresh cut pine but we've lived in so many dry climates that I gave up on a fresh tree years ago it was too dangerous.  Like the time I almost burnt the house down in Colorado because I put the dried out pine boughs in the fireplace.  Wow, Fire and smoke everywhere. I'm sure if we were into TTWD then, I'd have been roasted, toasted and set on fire too.

Well enough for now.  I'm sitting here next to a stack of bills that need paying, so I better get to it.

See you later for more Aimless Ramblings.

The Magic of Christmas

"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere I go."  Actually, it's looked like that since Halloween but I notice now that some of the shelves even seem to be dwindling down.  Our family is coming for Christmas and so I'm trying to get everything done ahead of time so I can enjoy them w/o running around trying to get last minute things done.

I love Christmas, always have always will.  Okay, I admit there were a few down years, but all in all, Christmas is magic.  When Jared and I were together, it began the day after Thanksgiving. We would climb into the SUV to our favorite Christmas Tree Farm and start searching for just the perfect tree.  Sometimes it took more than one trip, but Jared always indulged me and would make as many trips as it took.  He had learned early on in our relationship, that indulging me was far easier than fighting me.

Once the tree was purchased and put in its perfect place, in front of the picture window, came the task of decorating the tree.  Jared was in charge of the lights, and I did the rest.  Once again Jared always indulged me. To me, there could never be too many lights on the tree.  Jared would rearrange the strings, adding more as necessary, until I was satisfied.  He always remarked that if the tree were outside, we would have planes landing on our front lawn, it was so bright.

Well, let it be said, that Jared must have become weary of indulging me.  One year, right before Thanksgiving, Jared informed me that he no longer wanted to be married.  He didn’t specifically say to me, but since he remarried within the year, I have to assume that’s what he meant.

That was a pretty bleak holiday for me.  I didn’t even have a tree.  I couldn’t understand how Jared could leave me at my favorite time of year.  It never occurred to me that maybe, just maybe, he couldn’t go through indulging me one more time.

By the following year, I had moved on.  I still didn’t have a tree, the reason being I was going away for the holidays and what would be the point.  Some of Christmas’s magic returned in the form of a Norman Rockwell Christmas Village in Colorado and meeting Paul.

Paul’s family owned the lodge where I was staying.  He had recently retired from the military and was decompressing at the lodge until he decided what he was going to do with the rest of his life.

I was standing in the dining room waiting for a table and admiring the decorations except for the tree.  Paul came up to me and asked if I needed assistance.  Not having any idea who he was, I remarked that the tree could use another string or two of Christmas lights.  He laughed and told me I sounded just like his mother.  I’m not sure I liked the comparison, but Paul proved to be an excellent companion, and we spent the next few days together.

When it came time to leave, we exchanged information and vowed to keep in touch.  There were no promises or expectations, just a friendly exchange of information.

Here’s where the Christmas Magic took over.  Paul had been a helicopter pilot in the service. It just so happened that a position became available in an area not too far from my hometown.  We got together for dinner when he came for the interview and once he was hired for the job we began spending more time together.

Paul wasn’t nearly as indulgent as Jared and I didn’t always get my way.  If we disagreed, he would listen to my side of things, but if he still didn’t agree it didn’t matter how much I carried on he stood firm.  I could either accept, or he would call a time out until I came to my senses, as he would say and then we would agree to disagree.

We went to his parent's lodge for Thanksgiving where he proposed.  Of course, I said yes.  There wasn’t anything not to like about Paul.  He was about six feet tall, with piercing blue eyes, black hair that curled at his neck when it got too long and a body to die for.  Besides that, he was a gentleman, and I was crazy about him.

We decided to plan the wedding for the springtime.  Jared's folks would find it hard to get away during the Christmas holidays.  That was all right with me.

Since we were at the lodge the Friday after Christmas, it wasn’t until the following Saturday, and Paul and I went off to select our tree.  We went to my favorite lot, and after a couple of hours, I told him I couldn’t find one I liked, we’d have to go to a different place tomorrow.  I was told that of all the hundreds of trees at this farm, I could certainly pick one and if I couldn’t he would pick one for me.

He did because I refused.  We were in the parking lot, and he was hefting the tree on top of the car when I heard a familiar voice.

“Hello Nika, did you find your perfect tree?”

Paul, who heard the remark answered.  “No, she couldn’t choose so I chose for her.”

Jared laughed.  “You, sir, are a glutton for punishment.”  It was at this point that I introduced Jared to Paul.

“What do you mean?” Paul inquired.

“Well, Nika here is a stickler for the perfect tree.  Of course, she may have changed since we were married.”
I wanted this encounter over, and I kept urging Paul to finish loading the tree and getting underway. Finally, Jared shook hands with Paul and wished him well. In the car, Paul wanted to know what Jared meant that I was a glutton for punishment for choosing a tree that wasn’t to your liking.

“Oh, Paul, that was Jared’s way of saying I liked getting my way.”

“And if you didn’t.”

“Well, I just kept haranguing him until I did.  He always gave in.”

“So this is the way you’ve always behaved.”

“I guess so.  Frankly, although Jared never said it,  I think it’s the reason he didn’t want to be married to me any longer.”

Paul was quiet for the rest of the ride home. When he unloaded the tree and brought it in the house, I told him where I wanted it placed.  He disagreed saying it would be too much in the way of the front door.  We argued back and forth, and that’s when things changed, and a new kind of magic emerged.

He took me by the arm and led me to the couch.  Over his knee I went.  I was fighting and yelling like a banshee, but he held me in that position, over his knee, hands and legs dangling in thin air.

“This stops now. I will not put up with your childish behavior any longer.  Now that I know it has been going on forever, it’s time to put a stop to it.  If Jared wasn’t man enough to take you in hand, I am. “  The first smack of his hand was a doozy.  The sound seemed to reverberate around the room.  Two more smacks and I heard someone ask if everything was okay.

Paul had apparently left the front door open when he brought in the tree, and my carrying on was providing entertainment for the neighbors.  I was embarrassed beyond belief, but it got worse.  Instead of merely answering that everything was fine, Paul told the inquiring neighbor that it was only me getting a spanking and he was sorry I was causing such a ruckus.

“I see,” said the neighbor.  “I’ll just close the door,” and sure enough I heard it close.

Paul was getting a renewed dose of my vitriol.  He started smacking me again.  It hadn’t slowed me down either.  The next thing I knew my jeans and panties were being lowered and his assault on my bottom had risen to a new level.  The smacks came harder and faster until finally, I wasn’t able to breathe, much less complain.  My ass had to be on fire, and still he continued the barrage of whacks to my bottom.

Sometime, he must have figured I’d had enough because the spanking stopped and he held me in place while rubbing my back.  He had to help me up, I had trouble getting my bearings, and my legs were wobbly. He caught me in a bear hug.

“Now be a good girl, go wash your face, and we’ll get this tree decorated.”

I did as I was told and when I came back downstairs, the tree was exactly where he wanted, and he had strung the lights.  There weren’t nearly enough to suit me.

“Paul, I  like a lot of lights.  Do we have any more strings?”

“Nika, I have strung over three hundred bulbs on this tree.  I am not hanging anymore.”

“But it seems to need more.”

“Let me ask you this, do you need more?”

“More lights, yes I do.”

“No, I was referring to more spanking because that’s what you’re going to get if I hear another word about needing more lights on the tree.”

I went to get the ornaments and began hanging them on the tree.  My bottom was lit up enough for one day.

The following year we bought an artificial tree with over four hundred lights.  I still get spanked but that first spanking was the last one I received because of a Christmas tree.
